Gotta say this is the best surf series I have seen in a while. The retro intro, Dylan’s narrative voice, the quality picture, the soundtrack, the waves, the surf, the people, the concept... love it. I hope there is more to come! And well done so far for all the work put into it!
This is an epic time to be alive in the surfing world. These wave pools are going to get more and more insane and the progression is going to skyrocket. These videos are making me psyched for the future of surfing.
Killer series. Like some many other comments here, you guys have got something special going on here. Feel free to go off in any direction - we will follow, and enjoy!
I used to skate here all the time as a kid back when it was called Oasis water. I'm still a local so it's pretty exciting to have a place to surf in the desert, hopefully I'll see you soon you guys there.
This is the best surf series ever, period. Why? because after watching the episode i was so stocked i just wanted to pick my board and crash into the beach! so sad we are in quarantine
so much of this goes on about "wave pools suck".. i dont get it. whos saying this? the guys mad they cant catch waves in the ocean?? lol a wave is a wave as long as it's not crowded. jeez
I guess pool surfing creates just a new sub section of surfing with endless possibilities, while providing a place to be learn the specific techniques in every detail. And that just a great place to learn and something to be super psyched up about
Snowboarding: Backcountry vs Park Skateboarding: Street Skating vs Skate Park Surfing: The Ocean vs Wave Pool Different scenes and yet equally amazing.
Hoky crap Palm Springs Surf Club is going to be next level with the new pool pushing the size double what the test is. Kalani and Cheyne are making me think hard about a retirement plan.
I live 2 hours from BSR surf park. I surf in the ocean for last 20 years and I go to bsr once a month. Its an awesome wave and I dont think there's any surfer that would not appreciate it if they got to see it in person. It reminds me of going to the skatepark. Becasue theres people in your session , there is no finding your own peak. And there was a bit of a learning curve for how to take off, its almost the opposite of what you do in the ocean. But once you get the hang of the take off the wave itself is just like ocean waves . A very nice hollow fast wave. You can do anything you want on it including getting barreled
Dude! This was absolutely amazing. Fuck. Got such an excitement when they pumped those waves up. That thing look throaty!! Awesome fucking vid keep up the sick work!
They are expensive though. Thats why I go only once a month. Its incredible to how fast BSR books up. You have to know when you can sign up for the new month and get on it quick or your gonna have to wait
Waco is absolutely mad. I’ve only surfed the beginner and intermediate waves and for the price it’s some of the best hours I’ve spent my afternoons. 10/10 would recommend🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼
Ocean surfers going to wave pools carry beach culture. it will be interesting in the future; kids who never surfed the ocean, what culture might they create. imagine a pool underground in Canada pumping in the dead of winter surfing will start to loose its connection to the beach over time.
Hold up, that's the place that had Tony Hawk and a bunch of pro skaters shred the old water slides! Seems like the future of "amusement parks" will be more interactive and physical rather than just passive things like water slides.
I think pools are great for the sport. Not only does it invite people from all over to be involved in a sport that usually only select people get to enjoy, but it also allows people to practice. You can try anything you want over and over again all day instead of trying over and over to catch a decent wave all day.
I am hopefully moving to the beach in North Carolina this summer and after being land locked for 20 years but i still have my surfboard, i can't fucking wait.
A suggestion for a weird wave. Surfing games. Might be appropriate due to lockdown restrictions. Anyone out there used to shred up waves on California Games?
The future... and lets get more made I just want to surf. I think surfing culture should look at this as "Surf Parks" like skate parks. Its not going to replace the ocean just like skate parks dont replace street or pool skating but its a training ground and a safe place to surf.
Surfing a wavepool or surfing a nature wave is like reading the books of Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit or watching said movies ! Both awesome but not the same thing .....
Your Weird Waves series is the best thing I've ever seen on UA-cam. PLEASE don't stop to create these AWESOME videos!!! Thanks!
absolutely love this series can't wait to see more!

Aha! I recognise that water slide in the background. Is this going to be a skate/surf paradise?!? Epic.
Came here to say that
Turtle neck guy was intense
Best video to watch while social distancing in 2020! Hoping the world still exists for the grand opening!
keep this series alive at all costs
Desperately need some more of these films!! So great and Dylan is hilarious. Love the great & quirky characters you find too.
This is an epic time to be alive in the surfing world. These wave pools are going to get more and more insane and the progression is going to skyrocket. These videos are making me psyched for the future of surfing.
I could watch weird waves everyday congrats it gets better and better!!!
I am so hooked on this series I can't handle it
Wow, that wedge at the end, oh my goodness, imagine 5 years from now, we will be surfing Shark Island in a pool!!!??? WOW WOW WOW
Killer series. Like some many other comments here, you guys have got something special going on here. Feel free to go off in any direction - we will follow, and enjoy!
I LOVE it, I’m going to engineering school for fluid dynamics rn to create more of these man, love it!
Fucking epic!
that was so rad, hyped to see the progress of the palm springs wave park after hearing about it for so long
This series is so fucking good. I'm already a Vans addict but I will continue to support this amazing company.
I’ve been waiting on this thing for sooo long! I remember bodysurfing 1 foot waves in that pool. Can’t wait!!
Best series in UA-cam easily
the fact that you can now get barreled in palm springs is insane to me. Can't wait to see the full potential of that wave pool next year!
Weird Waves and Kalani Robb?
Double Whammy 👍🏻
I used to skate here all the time as a kid back when it was called Oasis water. I'm still a local so it's pretty exciting to have a place to surf in the desert, hopefully I'll see you soon you guys there.

This series is a masterpiece
still the best series out !!!
absolutely love this series. hope to see more 🤙
so much of this goes on about "wave pools suck".. i dont get it. whos saying this? the guys mad they cant catch waves in the ocean?? lol a wave is a wave as long as it's not crowded. jeez
Just what i needed to get my mind off of panic mode. Love you duders.
@DylanGraves you the man you should make one in Puerto Rico at the old terrain of la Cascadas de aguadilla and make park like that one in Palm Spring
Congrats Dylan from South Puerto Rico
Wait that Guy was the "guy buying this waterpark" from the high n dry Video?
I guess pool surfing creates just a new sub section of surfing with endless possibilities, while providing a place to be learn the specific techniques in every detail. And that just a great place to learn and something to be super psyched up about
Loving the weird waves series!! Still haven't tried the wave pools in the UK, hopefully when this COVID-19 is dealt with will give them ago!
Snowboarding: Backcountry vs Park
Skateboarding: Street Skating vs Skate Park
Surfing: The Ocean vs Wave Pool
Different scenes and yet equally amazing.
Epic. Best vlog on the market
Hoky crap Palm Springs Surf Club is going to be next level with the new pool pushing the size double what the test is.
Kalani and Cheyne are making me think hard about a retirement plan.
Was thinking the same thing!
I would move inland for this for sure would be able to surf more than mother nature allows
So great to see Tom Lochtefeld still in the game and innovating!
I have never surfed but for some reason I really like this series...
A chance at "the stoke", priceless...
loving the series!!

LETS GO
the best show, do more
I love this series bro keep it up
20:20
The new incarnation of Vans " Off the wall"
I see this as groomed ski hills versus backcountry, or yeah skate park versus street that works too lol
Where are vert skaters supposed to find transition on the street?
@@Formerlytrouserttrout swimming pools were the first verts, so not really street
Love these videos
I’ve been waiting 3 moths and finnaly
Spectacular!
you guys should go to west Edmonton mall, they have a surfable wave in the middle of the Canadian prairies that you can surf in minus 30
13:28 name of the song pls ? haha
Specs on kalanis hat?
the banana hands make my day
isnt this the same park as the one in the "high n dry" thrasher vid?
Awesome show!
Keep up the good work Dylan Graves!
why didn't you guys visit the Wave in the UK ?
Dude! This was absolutely amazing. Fuck. Got such an excitement when they pumped those waves up. That thing look throaty!! Awesome fucking vid keep up the sick work!
God I love this series
They are expensive though. Thats why I go only once a month. Its incredible to how fast BSR books up. You have to know when you can sign up for the new month and get on it quick or your gonna have to wait
a whole episode about wave pools and no mention of kelly slater pool? it was a game changer in wave pool history i think
Waco is absolutely mad. I’ve only surfed the beginner and intermediate waves and for the price it’s some of the best hours I’ve spent my afternoons. 10/10 would recommend🤙🏼🤙🏼🤙🏼

I’m not even a surfer, I skate but nothing makes me wanna go surf then these videos
A Chris Billy sighting! I still remember that shot of him in the barrel at Salt Creek.
So any news on new episodes???
Rad video!!!! and wall ride!!!
Yewww sunway get some love💙🔥
Nice. Perfect for self isolation
3:10 was my reaction too 😂

Those were New Jersey 8 footers. You gotta measure starting at 2 feet below the sand.
Nailed it!
It needs a retracting wall on the inside, so not to let that left over wave energy go to waste, refracting it back to give a wedge effect.
where is josh Buran ?
SUPER SIC BOIZ...🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾🤙🏾
Insane. Take my money.
Better than the new pool in Melbourne! hahahaha
Sweet vids
By far the gnarliest wavepool.
I did not know that Kalani Robb was a owner of the PALM SPRINGS SURF CLUB
So good
i guess the only complaint of mine is that it doesn't really make sense in a world where we are trying to reduce emissions
is that the owner of RC surfer?
Why is this unlisted? It should be public!
I am hopefully moving to the beach in North Carolina this summer and after being land locked for 20 years but i still have my surfboard, i can't fucking wait.
wrightsville beach gang here NC
its flat all the time
A suggestion for a weird wave. Surfing games. Might be appropriate due to lockdown restrictions. Anyone out there used to shred up waves on California Games?
This is whats up!!
They should go to urbn surf in melb

Holy shirt he sounds like his dad C M. Funny shit 💯😁
I want to join PSSC ASAP this is mental!
yeeew! another vid, hey if you like a good read, read this, "in a future where the coast is too toxic for humans to survive, wave pool rules the world
Kalani 😂😂❤️❤️
Yall just ignoring this amazing soundtrack ?
Surfing a wavepool or surfing a nature wave is like reading the books of Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings or the Hobbit or watching said movies ! Both awesome but not the same thing .....
I go tthe same expression at 2:36
