Thanks bud. Exactly what I was needing to know. I'm changing from slipper type springs to heavier duty fixed rocker roller type for a horse float. You made it look easy. Champion!
Planned obsolescence using non greasable bolts and bushes. I have a 1975 Franklin Arrow with tandem rocker suspension that is fully greasable at every pivot point and have never had to replace a part yet after 2 laps and numerous other holidaying trips. 😃
Thanks for the video mate. Learned a lot. I noticed at the start, your shackles were facing in the same direction rather than creating a W shape form the rocker / equaliser. When you lowered it all back down and starting travelling again, did they stay in the w shape or move back around to facing the same direction? Cheers. Ricki.
Is it important to note that you've blocked the rear spring with what looks like two 4x2's, at both ends ? to minimise movement ? What happens if you didn't ?

Thanks mate have ever snapped a leaf spring?
Was adding the nylon washers worth it or did you end up having to remove them ? I have a horse float to do, carrying precious cargo.
get some greaseable bolts
