1. Southern Fire 2. Motor city soul food 3. Pegasus 4. Redsmoke 5. Slows 6. Five guys 7. Wahlburgers 8. Detroit One Coney 9. They say 10. Pizza Papalis
This isn't a bad list except for Big Boy. That and Pizza Papalis closed their Greektown location. If you come to Detroit, you have to try Bucharest Grill. Their Shawarmas are to die for.
When it comes 2 BURGERS, my standards r based on the Big Boy. While it's not a thick burger (based on the patties themselves), the 1,000 Island-style dressing (which's actually a combo of their 1,000 Island & Tomato & Spice dressings) makes the burger truly stand out (probably the inspiration behind In-N-Out's burgers). I can definitely eat 3 Big Boys in 1 sitting.
This is a pretty shit list? Big boy? Most mediocre food you could get in all of detroit. If you want quality food, go to southwest detroit and try Mi Pueblo Taqueria, best mexican food you’ll have in the D
Lafayette coney is the clear winner, the though even though they are next door rivals, I've been there where a cook from American came over to borrow buns from Lafayette, so the rivalry is pretty mild lol.
I never had Cloverleaf pizza I stay in walking distance from it back in 2022 the guy that goes to every restaurant Diners Drive-Ins and Dives that guy once I found out he was coming over there got there late they already did the taping I caught it on TV the old man did a bad presentation I think the taken last about less than 10 minutes one other time I was watching the show not knowing that they came back and did another taping a couple of people make the pizza and it was a nice presentation and they take for about 15 almost 20 minutes long I enjoyed it but I still never had none of that pizza maybe one day I will go and try it out 😊😊
Me and my cousin went to Dickey's Barbecue on the west side and we both didn't like that barbecue it was nasty and the sauce was too now parks barbecued on the North End yes Vicky's no way Jose 😂😂😂
Big boy really? It was bought and franchised to the Japanese and totally went downhill. I once found a slug crawling along a piece cantaloupe on the buffet line. If you’re visiting Detroit please skip the big boy they’re garbage
I wish Richter Chalet was still open. Big boy is gross! Yuck! Roma’s pizzeria was good but I haven’t been there in about 15 years. I think in or near south land , mi. Frankenmuth Bavarian in was good but got way way way too overpriced! Toni’s Restaurant was awesome about 15 years ago, but I don’t know anymore! Also Halel’s on Alexis Rd in Toledo. Toledo ZaZas was good n bob evens used to have beef stroganoff that was so good but was already starting to use non food way back then. Oak wood bread in Detroit, yum! Greek town had homemade lemonade fresh squeezed There were delis near Wayne Michigan in Dearborn before they became wicked. I’m too tired to name them all but it’s been so long anyways. The bbq place has or had cockroaches! I used to love vernors especially for a tummy ache. But they use GMOed high fructose corn syrup now.
Well im from South Carolina and i was working up there and tha food was trash. Yall taste buds is on some bull shit. Was ready to come home to get back to real food
@@ladna313 I know most spots i went to i let it be known lol. Funny thing is you would think that the food should be good up there. Due to the fact that South Carolina and Michigan is connected. Alot of ppl got family ties down south. Sure wasted a lot of money tho lol
@@robertcalhoun6157 hahaha idk about connection with south carolina , i’m from metro detroit so mean most good food is ethnical lollll Also i feel you , when i went to Miami , highly disappointed in there food. but maybe i just chose the wrong spots 🤣

I'm in Detroit now here til Monday trying to find some good spots before I leave

Cool to know about iconic eateries in Detroit.
if you are traveling to Detroit for a vacation yes this list is great if you have 10 dollars to your name.
You missed Motz's burger in SW DETROIT
I remember Motz's hamburgers on Fort Street back in 1971 love the hamburgers 🍔 😊

El Asador is awesome as well! Love their guacamole!
Mexican Village is my fav in Detroit
Cool!)
Did you record this in a bathroom?
Little Tony’s, a.k.a. Lounge in the Woods, in Grosse Pointe Woods makes an excellent burger! And you can have a cocktail or a beer with it!
Thanks for the tip
Who cares that's NOT Detroit!!!!

Dulys
Lafayette had to close because or roaches. Always liked American better.
@@johncooper7663 I saw that. Guess I'll try American lol

Also try Arkins on Southfield Road in Southfield or Texas Style Bar BQ on Fenkell Ave which has superb pototoe salad.

Ritcher's Chalet was excellent... Best German food I've ever had!...The kids didn't want to keep it going after Roland and Anita retired.
