  • I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier 3.3L V6, and the air conditioning compressor would sporadically turn off and on. no cold air. Then i had a new A/C compressor installed, and recharged with freon professionally. It did the exact same thing, and the A/C guys were at a loss, and gave up after the A/C worked for one day. They were going to bring in an electrical guy to check out the computer signal to the A/C and wanted to do some bypass, and i told them i would get my own guy to check it out, since they didn't seem to know what they were doing at this point. It turned out to be the Air Conditioning Thermo Switch, located on the evaporator, inside of the air box. I show how you can replace it. I purchased the A/C thermo switch at Autozone. The brand name was Santech Automotive
    part # MT1637
Mines was a 3 wire sensor.
Sorry for the bad audio, my crappy camera has horrible audio. just turn up the volume on your computer or phone.
