Outrageously good....the 26th kind of love is the kind I've had for the Blue Aeroplanes for 20 years.....an all consuming passion that thrills me to my very soul....
OK Mr.Langley, enough of the arty posing, lets have the CD version of Anti-Gravity. I think you've kept me waiting quite long enough. I'm not going to spend seventeen quid on an obsolete format that degrades every time you play it, no matter how pretty the artwork. I gave that game up 30 years ago, even though I still do have a record player for my 70's LP collection. PS, excellent thrash and nice to see the whole gang back in action, but where's the mad Polish pogo stick?
@steeevb Not really. The tune that jumped into my head on hearing this for the first time was 'Liar' from "Never mind the Bollocks.." - not the singing, just the main guitar riff, methinks. The band are definitely in Sex Pistols territory on this one.
Well I was a fan..and a big one at that..but I've got to say that I've really not 'got' them since Rough Music. Cavaliers was a dirge, Altitude had one decent song, and the various odd stuff like W'd Shit and the Wire / BJH covers one was quickly resigned to..well no idea where. Will I buy the new one? Yup, I guess, but I don't like this song much for starters. Hate to be so negative, but.
I'm more concerned about the skull between his legs! The chorus sounds like a speeded up version of the chorus to Strangelove's '20th Century Cold'. Still, who cares? They're all part of the extended family of musicians.
This fantastic band took me through uni in the early 90’s ....just sublime escapism.
Love the fact that you tube queued this up for me to follow immediately on from the new Beatles song just then. Vive Les avions bleu!!
Great song from a great album, specially disc 1

Wonderful
stunningly good -
great return to form. The most under-rated and exquisite band. Bloody marvelous
they are on top form atm ... as is the luscious rita lynch ... and a album release gig on friday 20.5.11.... woohoo.
Oh, Blue Aeroplanes... I am waiting for this song (and eventually a CD) to be available on iTunes... i love it!
Great backing and Rhythm from Rita Lynch!
Saw this live last week in Britstol .... 20 years on still worth a 400 mile round trip
Just one word:
Brilliant!

weetos professor!
Love this tune! Looking forward to "Anti Gravity" or whatever It's gonna be called!
