these are very nice summer songs. popping is such a quintessential summer song and while it's so happy it kind of brings me to tears? in the best way. idk.
anyway this is kind of tmi but i'm a fresh graduate from uni and i've had to think a lot about my place in the world and where i go from here. i'm privileged enough to be supported by my family and i'm always thankful, but it feels like i'm stuck. i just want to take my time to start joining the workforce because this is the first time in my life where i feel like i can finally breathe. it doesn't help that i dread the job hunting process because well, my field wasn't one that i chose willingly-i have no passion for it and therefore no experience or fancy achievements related to my major that i could use to decorate a cv. the only thing i feel like i do have is my super specific art skills like... well... just in my youtube channel alone, the numerous odd mashups i've been consistently pumping out for the past few months and my arrangements, and other forms of art i put out elsewhere. i'm not the most sociable and finding connections is the least of my worries when i have trouble speaking to people in general and everyone around me seems to live life in such a capacity i can't imagine for myself, at least for a while.
the first time i read the lyrics to oneus' life is beautiful was when i watched the music video for the purpose of this video, and it made me laugh how weirdly it spoke to my current position. i wasn't feeling the best today, and i haven't for a long time, but it really felt like that song, popping, and even can't stop shining kind of cheered me up. even though they haven't fully gotten me out of my slump, they definitely helped and that's more than enough.
i wanted to thank every single person who took the time to watch my silly little videos, from those who didn't stay for the whole duration to those who liked and commented. i'm truly thankful that at least here, i'm being seen the way i always wanted: through the things i create, no matter how simple or bizarre they are. i appreciate every single one of you. :)
