Apart from the social messaging, one angle I have always liked about his movies were how they had the son carrying on the mission of the father, irrespective of it being a blessing or a curse.

Also one of the few guys who writes classy romances between the leads without vulgarity and the actor being a creep or a stalker to entice a girl.

Parallel cinema depends on audience sensibilities.
Here I guess what he meant he tried to speak social issues embedded in commercial package.
1. Srimanthudu- Adoption of small villages.
2. Janatha Garage- Nature love and standing up for people who do right things.
3. Bharat ane nenu- Education, family planning, Traffic responsibility and accountability of politicians.
Parallel cinema need not just be
1. Caste oppression
2. Ruthless village gangsters.
3. Weird Sci fi

His movies are Social message oriented movies. Srimanthudu(adopting a village). Bharat ane nenu (about politics). Mirchi(about how to stop factionism with love). Janatha garage(about saving plants in first half )
mirchi. is more about what being macho man means, doesnt mean growing a mush and cutting through a guy, it is about being more empathetic maybe
Telugu cine goers were not used to their directors being interviewed by English interviewers earlier. This trend was broken by BR via FCS, now GP. This has made the fans to embrace the language more than before. They have started to appreciate the non-cliched questions which is the hallmark of BR. He has changed the way interviews are conducted. Please continue the good work. Hopefully, we as patrons get to know what goes behind the work the director, actor or a technician does and learn many more nuances of filmmaking.

A great conversation about films
Koratala Siva is one of the most sensible commercial movies director. There's always a class in his movies with commercial treatment. All his track between the hero and heroine is so neat, fun and matured.
Sivas work all are very good, but my fav film is janatha garage , cuz to see him pull off such an old school film and I am eagerly waiting to see how he presented acharya. BTW great interview , insights on siva as a film maker are quite educating

Koratala siva is one of the best commericial director & writers of south. Reminds me lot of old ARM. He's far better equipped to handle big stars- ajith,vijay,rajini than nelson,ranjith,vinoth.

But i think heroes in his movies are quite different to how they were looked at before. Ntr in Janata garage was revelation, so was prabhas in mirchi and mahesh in srimanthudu. They have more layers to them and action then becomes a part of the narrative rather than being the narrative
Chiru is the most powerful man in TFI now. It is very jarring to see all directors competing in sycophancy towards him. Very very unfortunate.

Aacharya does not have a single scene where the audience feels tense, it is a stand-up comedy show, not a village/temple savior movie(Korataala made villains as jokers and Hero a Fighter only, please make a movie with some sense, even in video games hero gets some small injuries but in Aacharya Chiru even after so much of action drama is never hurt . One of the worst movies by Chiru, Charan, and Koratala. Do not tweak your story due to the hero image. Korataala failed here as he tweaked the script keeping Father and Son to showcase them as Heros only.
Kondila’s 2022's biggest Flop, As always, Pooja is the Iron leg, Unfortunately Indian directors are not realising that. NO THIGH SHOW THEN MOVIE IS A FLOP FOR POOJA.
Music, BGM, and Fights add only 10% to make a movie blockbuster, at the end of the day, a strong script and screenplay are the sole of the movie, not even a hero, hope Korataala understands this at least after Aacharya’s disaster or by seeing KGF elevation and portrayal of Villian's importance in the story and how hero proves to be a hero in the end. MOVIE HAS TO BE DRIVEN BY STRONG STORY AND SCRIPT NOT BY THE HERO's IMAGE. With a single flop will Chriu or Charan become 0? . A common man becomes a hero via the story and script in the movie, not the previous heroic image.
RIP Aacharya, the set, and the producers.

Acharya is a Disaster, Just Tried to Copy = Bahu BAli (Abandon child) + Pushpa (Forest) + RRR (Double Hero) , Very slow moving story, actually story length not enough for feature film but prolonged to set in its duration.

This guy is overrated. All Mediocre movies. Telugu film industry wants to elevate heroes. This guy tries to put a little bit of content into it. Thats about it. All below avg movies, just pure heroic elevations based on social aspects. Cheap tricks. There wont be any takeaway.
He never brought the best in an actor. Never brought the best story. Never told an uncompromising story. Truly a sold out and compromised director.
I am saying all this cuz he can do more. He should do more. He should tell a story with no compromise.
