Yeah me too. I didn't know there were horror elements before seeing this and I was f*cking surprised. As I searched, dev of this game made Heilward loophole, PS1 style horror game. It seems like shadow figure appears with any vertigo status. I've got him when long time 0 vertigo.
I just recently bought the game and was thinking its relaxing game and all, then I saw the shadow man and turned the game off immediately. That was the scariest moment I had in gaming of all time!
Yeah, Game just feels like Chill minecraft jumpmap with Cool music, not horror game. Background sounds and shadow figure, strange occasion was definatly a bomb.
@@ianmitchell5979 IDK, but it seems like when different height, different pattern happens. You cannot see these event when normaly playing untill 270 meter(because that's my current best)
I when i started the game and had only played the game for less than 2 hours, i saw the shadow man at around ~80m. It is possible to casually see him pretty early in the game. I was just looking around for a path forward minding my own business then shadowman was behind me when i turned around. I was in abit of a "🗿hmmm. i dont have the energy for dis"-mood so i wasnt exacly scared but i desided to move to the next platforms because the creature seemed ominous. I wish i had just stayed still and experimented what would have happened if i let the shadowman do his thing. But sadly i didnt, coz i never expected it. I though BB was a relaxing parkour game
I just finished researching the mechanics and here's what i came up with: You see, when the game starts there's 0% Vertigo counter and the in-game OST music starts playing. All tracks usually finish in 3-4 minutes of the in-game timer. As soon as the music finishes and goes silent, put the Vertigo to 100% and keep it high for several minutes ( the easiest way to rise the Vertigo counter is to look up or down for a long time ). Sooner or later, game'll decide to turn the next soundtrack on. But the thing is that music won't play if the Vertigo is way too high. It is when the magic happens. If your Vertigo will be high enough at the moment, when the game will " try " to turn the next soundtrack on ( 100% is recommended ), the horror event will happen. Of course, the Vertigo effects and high Vertigo events should be turned on in the game's settings, as well as the music volume should be at least 1%. It seems, that game has three different variants of horror events. One of them includes devilish growls and moans and also presumably " AMONGUS " scream, being severely cut. Another variant seems to be the longest of all. It mostly consists of repeating " hypnotic " howling noise, which literally goes like " WOOOW... WOOOW... WOOOW " as well as some kind of robotic speech sounds, i am struggling to understand anything. To me it is the creepiest one. And in your video the third variant is seen - it is also quite ominous and spooky. It also contains some unknown whispers and some kind of devilish speech. That's everything i currently know. The choice of the event's variant also seem to be completely random. The height and the timer has nothing to do with the trigger mechanics of these events. It is still remains unproven though, but numerous experiments seem to prove my theory. Thanks for reading this nerdtext 🤓@@SUDDENROCK0262
I also saw this siulet when I was building the level, I relaxed, turned around and there the siulet appeared and immediately disappeared, and I'm already scared to play this game 😅
so fast and brave.. i freak out like crazy and had to refund the game cause i was panicking and only made it to about 50meter. ya not right for me. but i wonder if you made it to the top yet?
My best is red area and still didn't reached top yet, but you can turn off spooky things at options now. It's really fun game. You should try another go if your refund reason is scary not difficult.
@@SUDDENROCK0262 i have anxiety so my blood pressure rises for each jump and i freak out since im afraid of falling too much! so ya its anxiety of falling and never getting up rather then vertigo stuff.
I blasted through the early game ( good ol' minecraft days ) and easily got to frustrating part of the game without this happening once. So when this happened the first time, I literally thought: "fucktard you think you can scary me in your shitty game?" ( no offense to developer, cool game ). Btw as other comments said there is also shadow figure spawning for like fraction of second regardless of your vertigo, which I also noticed when I was basically not in mood to be feared or creeped out lol.
I saw the shadow man and didn't know it was part of the game till seeing this. Thought I was going crazy lmao

Boom!
Funny thing is, I reached that point where the lights get dim and just waited it out, and I never saw the shadow man myself until in this video
I came to this video after my friend notice shadow man on my stream
that scary shit scared me so much when I reviewed it
Played with friends and they thought I was fucking CRAZY the only proof I have.

I have played the game for over 25 hours and have only seen him like 5 times..
This probably happens bc the 90% Vertigo
Actually, no.😊
How long does this keep up?
Does it escalate more?
Yes, It will keep up almost 3 to 5 minute? I guess.
@@SUDDENROCK0262 Anything else that happens during that period?
