As someone who has lived in England my entire life, I can appreciate the interest you show in this country. To be honest, most Americans seem quite dismissive, almost, of us, so to see someone that takes time to point out how beautiful it is really warms my heart. Thank you :) wonderful video by the way

Thank you. I hope to travel to England in the next few years and see the country-side.

I've heard Oxfordshire is a very beautiful place. I live in the West Midlands and have never been there, but I've heard there is a lot of greenery there.

I think Americans have an endless fascination with the British - in movies and especially television, from Spooks, Dr. Who, Downton Abbey and the young royals always on the cover of magazines.. Some friends of mine just spent their holiday in the Lake District, lucky them. If anything, Americans are far more dismissive of Canadians.

Bellesativa I'm glad that you feel this way about Britain; maybe since I only have an outside view, from the media and UA-cam etc. I've misunderstood how we are viewed as a nation, but everybody has different opinions, and I've been quite prejudiced in my previous comment, so sorry about that, and thanks :)

I have this exact same Atlas...it fascinated me as a kid and again as an adult. Retro!

Amazing. I loved all the page turning and smoothing sounds. And as always, your voice is magical. Thanks!

Relistened to this a few times last night. I do love the atlas series. My father was in WWII, and I grew up with atlases and encyclopedias. Like you, I loved to read them. Page turning and soft talking are great.

I'm exactly the same! I use to get that same feeling when I was little and use to look at books with my Granddad. I never knew it was an actual thing until now! This is going to help me so much with trying to relax through the pain my disability causes. It's made me really happy :)

When I saw you trace your finger just south of London to the place u had visited I never thought i'd hear you say Dorking (literally 5minutes away myself). Small world indeed!

Wanted to add how sorry I am for your loss and the difficult time you will be undertaking. I have been my father's (suffering from dementia and other illnesses) main caretaker for almost two years. The stress is incredible. It is why I found and am thankful for the Whispering/ASMR community.

Great video. I always enjoy the videos where you flip through interesting books. Also, my dad is from Czechoslovakia and I've been there a few times. Such a beautiful place, especially Prague.

Great video! I've been looking for a good page flipping video but haven't found one I liked (mainly because the pages were either too light or too heavy). You did a really good job capturing the ASMR triggers in this one.

Very well done! This video reminds me of a time before Google Maps when people actually used atlases (I might be giving away my age with that comment haha).

You should for sure one day do a little road trip in Scandinavia. Copenhagen has quite a nice city, beautiful channels, very old & romantic looking. Oslo is a little more modern, haven't maintained the old look but still quite a lovely city. I'm personally not a big fan of Stockholm, but a big fan of Sweden in general. And I've never been to Finland, but I can only imagine Finland's beauty by their beautiful nature. I'm a dane though, so I represent Denmark ;-)

The color temperature went down there quite quickly 12:20.
It was good though, it was much more relaxing that way.
Overall, this video was amazing, I watched the whole video!

Awesome video, amazing how much the world has changed even since the 60s. The end of the British Empire, fall of communism and the Soviet Block and the emergence of free and independent states... I love Atlas's, so cool

Two weeks there you say? Surrey is a rather beautiful area if you wish to avoid the tourist flooded areas of London for a while. Did you venture to any of the surrounding towns near Dorking? (:

What whisperers can you suggest from the area of Finland/Sweden, etc? I have a hard time finding good ones. Also, they call St.Christopher's 'St. Kitt's' now; I have a cousin working at a Nevis hotel.

Thank you for what you do... I am really enjoying the ASMR massage from your book looking/low voice videos... I don't like the whisper ones i've found, maybe because i am hearing impaired and it's not loud enough to soothe me.

I have been trying to find out about the tingling sensation "ASMR" for all my life. I've never been able to explain it. I searched the Internet many times trying to find a name for it. I get a tingling sensation that starts at the top of my head and goes down my spine through the rest of my body. I find the sensation really pleasant. Is that what this is supposed to be for?

I watched this video early this morning and the video was different, it seems as if the video has changed its "point of view" from last night were it was looking down at your hands to now were it's looking down at your hands from over your shoulder. Very odd.

Unfortunately it is the human condition to never be completely without bias. The best we can do it be aware of it and try to correct for it.
