I own the Ankers so can vouch for their quality. Its hard to judge the Sony's fairly with horrible YT compression, but I'd say muddy is an accurate description. I also suspect they would cause quite a bit of ear fatigue over time. Fine for movies, music not so much!
Good comparison, i have the xb400, and they dont seem to suffer the same issue with mids and highs, i also have the AKG Q260, they are a brilliant pair of phones, and tiny too.
What mic do you use to record the headphones out of interest.

Can't speak for the headphones but I've been using Anker Bluetooth speaker for years, they are fantastic. I have a pair of Motion plus's which are amazing compared to other brands for a fraction of the price.
Is the mdr-xb550ap discontinued by Sony? What do you recommend for cheap wired cans? The mdr-xb550ap or mdr-zx110ap? Thanks. Great vid
I've not heard the 110ap's but the 550ap's have a wider frequency response and higher sensitivity so on paper, the 550ap's are better

Sony is shit now, The Sony are muddy its awful please stop, The best headphones I've ever had are Parrot Zik, Ive got a pair of Ferrari T30 for sale in original box, beautify crafted alloy and leather, Hardly used £50.
