It's like the many Asian Singers who can sing English songs very well but not speak much English. I am sure if I practiced a Ukrainian song enough, I too would sound good, even though I might not understand the language as a whole. They also might not be speaking in English so as to not come across as unintelligent or, the one guy speaking English may know English the best and by having him do the speaking in English they avoid any mistranslations. It can save time in the interview by having them speak in their native language and having the one with the best mastery of English do the talking rather than waste time having each guy struggle for the right words as they speak.
