    to do vase mode, put the camera in "normal timelapse video" mode, instead of "clean" mode. the clean mode tells it to move the hot end aside and move the build plate up front before taking a picture. the normal mode just takes pictures at preset intervals without modifying the GCode.

    Bought one a while back but couldn’t figure out for the life of me how to connect it to the printer! Help?😂

    This was helpful but really could've benefited from using a script

      Thank you... I think. In what way? Would you have preferred a short, 10 minute review where I just covered the talking points?

      @@kerseyfabs yeah it was a bit rambly and way too long for a review. It was helpful because I never would've known about it without the video. Seemed like it could've been split into 2 concise videos, one to talk about it and it's features, another straight up tutorial and setup with bookmarks etc.

    Kris, a very in depth review. One question that would help with stringing, can you record on a specific time lapse? If you could set it on say 1 minute period the printer would run normal and you would still have a video, just not as pretty. Another option would be on a layer change to just record it then, without moving to a specific spott

      Thanks David! With OctoPrint you can do what you suggest and that's often what I go for. Take the picture on layer change no matter where you are. This works great for a fixed bed printer like the Ender 5s but not so much for moving beds like the Ender 3. I could probably help by moving the photo place to the center of the bed but that's just on average a better place.

    How much time does it add to a print because of that specific style of time lapse ?

    • @kerseyfabs
      @kerseyfabs  2 роки тому

      Maybe 1-2 seconds per layer. So it depends on the height of the print and the layer height.
