It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out they were driving to go warn each other. That's why they hit each other. Each was going directly toward where the other was
Maddison Johnson You’d have thought that obvious. Who wears tatty rags after robbing from a bank? I don’t. Sort of jeans (non ripped) a nice belt with a pair of brogues. A pleasantly shaded t-shirt from a no frills shop and a roll neck wooly jumper (sweater if you’re American and in that case...ITS A JUMPER). The sort world war 2 submarine captains used to wear to pull Vera Lynn. Although in this country...”Pass me the Vera’s” means you’re skinning up a fat one. Readying a chuffest of weed named after a car. I’m smoking GTX haze right now. Wondering what the GTX sands for? So totally agree with whatever you said.
@@debbiefiuza no one knows the truth except Trent but there can be few reasons: 1. Its just some stuff with the ownership of the song. Sony could have all the rights to it as it was in their Tomb Raider movie soundtrack… Trent sold the song fully or has maybe just partial ownership over it (not sure, both is possible. I didnt look too deep into it) And there are just some problems with the rights to the song so it is unlisted on spotify as of now.. it used to be there in the Tomb Raider soundtrack. (I think its the problem here. But sometimes it can be just weird licensing in each country.. cus it aint the same everywhere) 2. He actually stated in an interview between 2005-2007 that in the end he didn’t like how this song turned out. (Dunno if it’s still the case) and since it’s not part of any NIN album or EP.. there could be no “want” from him to reissue it and put it up bcs of that except just letting it be on youtube.
I used to listen to this song on repeat with the bass turned up while driving around in my car at 3:00 a.m. and honestly I never felt more at peace when I was doing those drives
When Trent was first crawling out of the car, soaked in green paint or slime or toxic ink or whatever the hell it is, I could have sworn I was looking at Old Gregg.
This song has such a "Fragile" vibe, yet it still sounds to me like one of those in-between songs, much like Burn. The fact that it's a soundtrack only song and not part of any album probably reinforces it for me. These are some of my favorite NIN songs. They're so unique. This video is more interesting the more I watch it. I'm still incredibly pissed off that the brief clip of Burn was removed from Natural Born Killers. I will never, ever get over that.
Deep originally appeared on the Lara Croft: Tomb Raider (2001) movie soundtrack. If you're wondering why Trent Reznor accepted to license the song the explanation is that when the UK studio CORE Design released the original game, in 1996, it also published an "official" Lara Croft biography quoting Nine Inch Nails and U2 (which were going thru their "industrial inspired" phase at the time) as two of the badass archeologist's favorite bands. As a gamer and game soundtrack composer himself (Quake), Trent probably felt a lil flattered. That's probably also the reason why the song sounds so poppy and bombastic, compared to the rest of the NIN late nineties/early 2000 production. It's a shame, though, that the film didn't do justice to the games and it's a shame the official video for the song resulted quite laughable.
Thanks for that depth of information- I was always curious as to why it is so hard to acquire that track. I grew up playing multiplayer lan line Quake Death Matches. Nothing but grenade launchers. It is quite badass that he did all the music for that game when I figured it out. Never was a Doom fan. Quake was much more gore intense. Fucked up looking monsters too.
Quite interesting information but I still believe it was more simpler then that. NINs music was all over the place in movies and games etc so it's more the label marketing team who actually deserve all the distribution and connections credit. I highly doubt Trent had any input where the song will end up or not... He was too busy doing live shows and creating more music then being busy where goes what after all he had people behind him for those jobs. The key is to push your music everywhere so in return more revenue.
I enjoy the first tomb raider movie in that guilty pleasure way. The same way I enjoy the first 90s mortal kombat film or the van damme street fighter. I heard the new tomb raider movie is very good.
