Best terminal airport and world class airport
The Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) is the only World-class Airport in the Philippines and one of the best in Asia.
In fact just recently, on February 15th 2023, the Mactan-Cebu International Airport (MCIA) was named the "Best Airport" in the Asia-Pacific region in the "Under 5 million Passengers Category" at the Routes Asia Award 2023 held in Chiang Mai, Thailand.
Mactan-Cebu International Airport, the second busiest airport in the Philippines, bested over 200 other airports in the Asia-Pacific region to win the Routes Asia 2023 Award.
And in 2019, before the covid plandemic, the MCIA Terminal 2 won the "Completed Buildings-Transport Category" at the World Architecture Festival. February of 2019, MCIA claimed fame when it defeated Singapore’s Jewel Changi, touted as the “best airport in the world,” at the World Architecture Festival 2019 held in Amsterdam. MCIA Terminal 2 won the “Completed Buildings-Transport” category, besting Singapore’s Jewel Changi Airport; Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Station and HZMB Port Passenger Clearance Building; Istanbul Airport; Taiwan’s Tainan Bus Station; and Australia’s Barangaroo Ferry Wharf, Caulfield to Dandenong Level Crossing Removal, and Mernda Rail Extension.
Also in 2019, MCIA won the award the "Airports and Transportation Centers Category" - International Architecture Awards, organized by the Chicago Athenaeum: Museum of Architecture and Design, together with The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies and Metropolitan Arts Press, Ltd.

Before the completion of Terminal 2, Mactan Airport has exceeded its capacity of 4.5 million passengers annually. Terminal 2 increased the capacity to 12.5 million passengers annually.
Hindi pa siya congested although most international flights have not resumed their services like PAL's Cebu-Los Angeles-Cebu and most of the Chinese Carriers.

Maganda ang airport ng iloilo according SRP sa pahayag ng Government. At malapit kasi Airport nyo sa squatters delikado.
