    I’m finding that stitching free hand and starting at the bottom can make the stitches fuzzy after awhile bc of the constant rubbing of the fabric. So now I’ve stopped that and started stitching the top and intend to come down and maybe roll the fabric to protect the stitched area. No one has addressed this issue on stamped kits.

    I haven't cross stitched in years, but your video has given me the incentive to try it again! Thanks, Melanie.

      These are such a neat way to get back into the “game”, and super easy for new stitchers too. (I’ve been so limited on time, that I’m in love with the time-saving concept as much as the simplicity of it all!)

    So thankful for this video. I just got two of these and my head was spinning trying to figure out how I was supposed to do this! I’ve watched a few videos but this is the first that explained it well.

      {My daughter-in-law and I were just discussing stamped cross stitch, and I was trying to explain it to her. I was like, “Wait a minute! I think I have a video on that!” 😂 It’s a lot easier to explain when you can just send a link and say, “Watch this!” 🤣}

    Thank you so much for this Excellent video!!! I love your voice, mannerisms, and friendly teaching ways! I wish I could cross-stitch in a group with you! You've made this so much friendlier for me. I was really put off when I received my printed cross-stitch with the wild pattern on the material. It looked so Intense to me - all I wanted was the actual printed scene on my material - not this crazy mess!!! But - you calmed me down by explaining why it's that way and showed me that it's ok to cross-stitch on top of such a crazy pattern. Thank you for that! Like I said, I wish I could cross-stitch in a group with you! You truly are a "calming voice" - as I was looking to cross-stitching for a calm place to be - and you've helped to make it that!

      Thank you so much!! You just made my day! I woke up to two negative comments on my channel, and then I read yours…and it reminded me why I love to bring people videos and information. 🥰❤️
      I love to share tips I’ve figured out during my own process to help someone else with their hobbies, so that they don’t have to go through the same ordeal. You brightened up my world today and put a smile on my face! Thank you for being so kind. I hope you are able to enjoy your kit now…and that it makes more sense! Have a blessed day! 😘

    I just finished my first stamped cross stitch. It was a picture of two bunnies. Turned out really cute. It's a small one and I glad they include the chart, because in the future I can make more. A really cute idea for Easter. Finish it like a pillow but stuff candy inside.

    I am currently working on a Maydear & I'm loving it! I'm new to cross stitch & these stamped projects are real confidence boosters for me. I think because I've done diamond painting I understood how the schematics & codes & symbols etc all work. I just can't wait to see how my Maydear looks when I'm finished then get to start & finish a new one 😆 Thanks for sharing!

      I, too, will probably convert to more stamped kits bc at 72 my eyes are not happy looking back and forth constantly at a pattern on a screen, setting up the computer, can’t watch or listen to anything without making mistakes, premarking my symbols when there’s tons of confetti, just to name a few of the fiddly things I do when counting.
      These stamped kits have made it more affordable for people on a limited budget without all the more expensive accessories like fancy bags and needle minders etc.
      2022 will be a decluttering year for me.

    My backstitch symbols are various designs and not just a simple line and I don't understand how complete them. for example the light blue or dark blue square, which way do I backstitch? same question for the circle symbol.

    Hi I am working on this type of stiffer cross stitch material for first time. I am confused about the symbols some have half line, some full colored squares, some have like arrows or swiggle lines in the squares. What stitch are those? Also some have dots in the square ? Are these all different stitches. I've done for over 20 yrs never done this type. Help & thanks you explain things so clearly

    Ok Not what I thought.& completely changed my mind on the preprinted kits& you explained things I didn't get. Makers sense now. The lil chart book👍😎& not just wash out fabric printed. How about permanent ink?🤔what's haed?what does 11 count mean? & looking at the squares in chart?I counted 100.is that square supposed to indicate an inch. 🤦‍♀️☝️I am so math challenged my brain can't get that.😬centimeters?uh!🤦‍♀️ok look at the 12 inch ruler.I'm getting 2&a half cm& one more lil line fits into 1 inch.uh! 🤷‍♀️ 🤔&how about small kits? Do they make those?like images fit into like 8 inch hoops?& smaller. You explained things well ty!💖so much I still dont get obviously.,yet I'm determined I'm gonna get there. Working on a not preprinted small kit.& omg! The math ya gotta do& now I'm just winging it by the lil picture included.🤦‍♀️🙁Hopefully it comes out ok.🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️☺️💖☕👍😎

    • @MelanieBsCreativeStudio
      @MelanieBsCreativeStudio  Рік тому

      I think the most important thing I can tell you about the 11 count or the 14 count is that you don’t have to measure anything! 😂
      What that means is that a 14-count has 14 squares in an inch, and an 11-count has 11 squares in an inch. So a 14-count the squares are smaller because there are more stitches in the square than the 11-count which only has 11 stitches in the square. I love the look of the 14-count, but it seems easier to find the stamped cross-stitch in 11-count.
      They do make smaller kits, and even though I haven’t purchased any stamped cross stitch in a couple of years since I did this video, they have definitely expanded the design options. You can get tiny designs or really large designs. You can also get a wide variety of hoop options also.
      I think the reason they don’t use permanent ink, is because you don’t want the stamped color to show after you’re finished, since they’re using some random colors to help guide you. For example, they’ll use a hot pink for visual reference where a green might need to go just to help you see where you need to place your stitches. If that ink didn’t wash out, it wouldn’t look good once your project was complete.
      I hope you give these stamped cross stitch kits a try! I haven’t had time to work on mine at all, but I really enjoyed having this option when I did want to cross stitch.

    • @MelanieBsCreativeStudio
      @MelanieBsCreativeStudio  3 роки тому

      Hmmmm…that’s a good question! I’ve never even heard of 13CT. Typically 11CT uses 3 strands and 14CT uses only 2 strands, so it seems to me that a 13CT would be a 3 strands instead of 4.

    • @peggyhollon8724

      Girl, my hubby blames me for everything, so why shouldn’t you, right? 🤣 First, if you buy these kits with the link from Amazon, they come in pretty fast. If you buy from their site, you can use the promo code and save 15%, but I don’t know how long it takes. I probably need to do a test order, but you’ll love these. One or five (😂) of these would be perfect to do while you’re laid up in bed or sitting around.
      Since things are especially tight with both you and your hubby (🥺) being diagnosed with illnesses, I’d suggest going with the cheaper option. My promo code is “melanieb” at their website: maydear-cs.com
      ...and they ship within the US, so it shouldn’t take too long. I hate to be an “enabling influencer”, but I really think you should get at least one while you are unable to paint, just to keep your mind, body and soul at peace.
