Tom and Nicole are attending the opening of an art exhibit featuring paintings owned by Tom's boss, Edgar West. While West is attempting to introduce the collection, an intoxicated man causes a disturbance. With everyone focused on the disturbance, one of the paintings is stolen and a guard is shot to death.
