Here’s a Q: is it more motivating to clean when you know you’ll make it a video? Also, I’d love to hear about if you’ve always been someone to clean often, did you used to have a set schedule? Did you have an upbringing where cleaning was required/how does your routine match or how is it totally opposite from what you were raised seeing? Maybe you’ve answered these before, but that’s what I’m wondering! Hope that’s helpful ☺️ if I was making a video I think my mind would immediately go to why I am the way I am 🤣 so into cleaning, why it’s relaxing to me and why it makes me feel good and on top of things

I'm interested in these answers as well. My sister and I are super cleaners like this... We were raised by hoarders and have been told this is our 'control' over something we couldn't in our youth.
Whenever Avery prepares to head back to school in the fall I would love to see more of how you prepare for that. Organization of school supplies, lunch supplies, etc, morning/evening routines (doesn’t have to include videos of her…just general ideas for other mamas!)

The season of life where we’re raising young kids feels like it will never end sometimes. Then I have to remind myself that the days are long but the years are short! They’ll be all grown up before we know it so I try to find the joy in even the hardest days 🥰
Yes! My girls are Teenagers now, Always in the go 😭 I miss them being under my feet. But we do have alot of fun still... It's just different.

My mom used to do laundry and vacuum when we were little and in bed and the vacuum running always soothed me to sleep. I guess it’s something weird bc when my youngest son was a baby, he was so colicky and the only thing that soothed him was the sound of the vacuum cleaner running lol.
I was the opposite. When kids went to school n hubby to work, l did my cleaning in morning.

I can totally relate. We try to be grateful for the repetition in life. This helps us to know that everything is good. I know that might sound odd. But like you said, life can change in an instant. Sometimes it’s satisfying to find contentment in the “boring” rhythms of life.
But here are 2 questions:
Q: do you enjoy reading? And if so, what do you like to read?
Q: each spring I always “wash my walls”. I use a mop and bucket with Murphy’s Oil Soap and wash my walls. I always remember my grandmother and mom doing this. Have you ever done that? I know it’s kind of weird, but I was just curious! Lol

@@kimyates3583 I’ve used it on plaster walls and Sheetrock walls. It’s like 1 or 1 and a half cap fulls in a bucket of hot water. It has the best smell when it’s all done!
You literally said my thoughts out loud 😂. I feel like most of us crave the simplicity- the calmness. At the same time, it gets very boring & mundane at times. I’m glad to know I’m not the only one who feels like that.

I love doing my kitchen. It’s the heart of the home so I need it clean before I can tackle other areas. I agree that folding and putting away laundry is the pits!
I’m the opposite I don’t mind doing laundry but hate cleaning bathroom particularly the bath and the shower especially glass doors 😳. I do like cleaning my kitchen though. Would welcome suggestions for coping with cat and dog hair we have a few rescue animals but it seems like I’m always cleaning up hair it gets everywhere😳

I’m a scheduled person too. And if my schedule gets derailed for whatever reason, I get frustrated. If I can keep to my schedule, I feel like it keeps my anxiety at bay. I need to learn to be more flexible because things happen and I get interrupted! Happy Thursday! ❤️

You are totally right Jamie about you just never know so appreciate the moment ...5 weeks ago I was enjoying being a newlywed with a beautiful family of 2 bonus children (Stepkiddos) and a husband . I only married 5 months ago and really thought this was my happily ever after ... then one day my husband abruptly left me saying he wanted a divorce , left me with a mortgage to pay and immediately got his own place and took the kids with him ( which is legal since they are my step kids and not biological) and cleaned out the bank account to buy a brand new sports car...I instantly felt like heartbroken like my entire heart was just ripped from my body , and I never seen it coming , just doing my weekly routine and one day he just left me... I am not a super cleaner like yourself , but I found your channel one day while crying and watching videos of cleaning instantly became a bit of therapy for me to watch and actually get up and Clean ... now I still do have a true therapist lol but thank you for your videos ... I know it may seem just a normal boring day to you but oddly just watching actually keeps me not focused on the pain and actually motivates me to get up and Clean and not feel defeated.thanks Jamie❤️

I totally know what you’re talking about… The every day hustle and bustle of being a wife and mother is tough! Everything is super repetitive and you’re constantly craving more fun and excitement in your life, but at the same time being grateful for having a happy and healthy family. I’m sure that her mother who just lost her child for instance would reminisce on the old days when everyone was happy and healthy, so you definitely don’t want to take those regular days for granted either. It’s a constant balancing act

I totally started sorting through our paper clutter when I saw you posted this video! I love your content - it is so motivating! I have only been watching your videos for a month or two, but I have started a night cleaning routine where I clean my entire bottom floor of my house after my 1 year old goes to bed. It's so nice waking up to a clean house in the morning! It has also removed a lot of the stress that my husband and naturally develop when the house is messy. Thank you so much for your videos. They have definitely helped me improve my productivity!

-Lemon pepper salmon with lemon pepper asparagus.
-Grilled kabobs.
- Grilled meat, broccoli with cheese, califlower rice or mashed califlower.
- Snacks are pork rinds, boiled eggs, a few tbps of peanut butter, nuts, or low carb ice cream :)

LOVED this video and voice over talking you did! I do LOVE watching you clean and getting stuff done and it gives me motivation to want to do it when I get home from my full time office job but I only do what I have the patience and energy to do. I have a very hard time being able to get around to vacuuming and mopping my floors. I don't do it very often and should but time gets away from me too easily and when I see messes being made by everyone in our family right after I cleaned it discourages me and frustrates me but I have to just let it go and not get too stressed over it. Also, I can relate very well to being the kind of person that likes consistent schedules and I thrive on doing the same routine over and over every week. I do know that things can come up and plans do change and even though it flusters me when it happens I just have to go with the flow and figured it out. I also try to just keep my cool so my kids know it will be fine and we will get through whatever changed our plans. Even the most positive of changes I am okay with but at the end of the day when I know something isn't going to get done because of a change in plans I do feel out of sorts and wonder when I'll be able to get whatever chore or "thing" of mine done that needed to be done before that change happened. I think a lot of those feelings I get comes from having a lot of change in my life growing up and I had a VERY hard time adjusting to change and getting settled into a new routine before another change happened again and I couldn't do anything about it. Seeing you clean the outside of your glass door reminded me of a story my mom tells. She was doing that when I was in my walker (1983) and I locked her out of the house by bumping the stick into the track. She had to go to the neighbors and call my aunt who had a spare key. I was not a happy camper when she finally got back in the house!

What made you decide to start a channel? I love cleaning and enjoy a very clean house. However my husband and daughter do not agree. They help, but I always want to do it make it look nice. I want the house that anyone can stop by and it’s clean. Is that unrealistic?

I’m a very routine based person too. I by groceries on certain days. Meals are at certain times. I even have a laundry schedule. I wish I could get even better with the routines so I could stay on top of everything. One day at a time.

We go to the park A LOT! Play outside as much as possible! They LOVE being outside. We have a trampoline and swingset at our house and a small, blow up pool! Luckily they still nap so it breaks up the day!
Yes life is very repetitive, but I am a person that likes it that way. I lost my Hubby 10 years ago and my Son last year, seeing your videos and listening to you talk helps me get things done. I have MS and use a computer chair to roll around to clean and get things done.

Right? I never thought to simply pull out the drawer! Instead I pull the oven out to sweep/mop/dust every 6 mos or so. And typically dread it because of all the fur.
Hello, New Sub here Following from Miami, Fl. Loved your video. I saw you were using a swifter to clean the top of the cabinets. I have a tip for you to make ur life easier. Use parchment paper for the top of the cabinets. It will keep them cleaner and the grease from cooking will fall on the parchment and in the long run it will be much much easier to clean them up. My hands have been had any issues with the cleaners I use! They don't even get dry! I honestly don't do anything special, either!
Sigh of relief! Just got caught up to the last 3 videos. Work has been insane for me these past few weeks! My house is a complete disaster and I have been feeling super overwhelmed looking at all the mess. Some times I feel defeated, it’s like my family against me 😩 anybody else?! When you were talking about enjoying the repetition of life, and to enjoy it I can totally relate. We lost our youngest sister at 38 to cancer six months after her baby girl was born. She tried for so many years to have children. Whenever I get down, I always stop and think; Mindy would love to be here living in every day humdrum 🥲 I’d give everything to have her here just one more day.

I have to have quite the pep talk with myself in order to get started and find that I can only clean on weekends or on breaks during work! It's exhausting, thanks for being real!
There has been a lot of upheaval this last year with COVID, losing loved ones, and my parents and in-laws health. I am grateful for the boring routines when nothing is happening. Like you said it means things are going well. I also have a basket for husband’s laundry after I fold it. I like things to go a certain way and get anxious when it doesn’t, I need to be more flexible as well. Would love to hear you talk about your kids! Hey Jamie! I enjoy the nighttime clean with me videos! It tends to be when I clean. I wish I could be more like my mom who has always enjoyed getting up early and opening up the windows for sunlight and fresh air. I’d wake up to the Shirelles playing and the house smelling like pinesol. But I am not a morning person. Never have been. My energy hits when the sun goes down and everything is peaceful and silent. I find cleaning more enjoyable when there’s no distractions.

When you have small kids the days and weeks just run together. I ran with 4 kids. We did figure skating, soccer, swimming, baseball, gymnastics. Now that it's over I'm board. Housework is not really my thing. I listen to you and somedays it motivates me and other days it doesn't. I did run with my grandson. We did Sea cadets for 6 yrs. That gave a second chance to go. I'm waiting for the next generation.
I relate to what you're saying. As a toddler mom it's easy to get bored even though you are grateful. I think it's healthy to admit that it's different but that it's only for a season. Sometimes we work so hard to get away from our kids and have some time off but then we could guilty for having that. I think it can be both.

You will miss these days, my three are all adults now with their own families and I miss when they were little. I was exhausted but never regretted being there 24/7 with them, best years of my life!

Hey Jamie. I enjoy your videos. I would much rather clean at night. It’s just me and my son so it’s not really that bad. We are both night owls. He lives with me because I am a survivor of Stage two Esophageal cancer. So, I do most of the cleaning. He works 12 hour shifts and when he’s off he is a gamer. So, I don’t even attempt to clean his room. He has a system because he has OCD AND ADHD. So, needless to say I avoid his room. He helps with heavy and higher up cleaning. His room is, let’s just say, an organized mess. 😁 But, I have worked afternoon/evening shift for 15 years or so. So, I get more cleaning done at night when my health allows. Thank you for giving me motivation. Keep making these good videos. 👍🏻

I loved the old school playlist you posted on Instagram that went with this video!!! As someone who also graduated highschool in 04 this brought me back! I am the exact same! I like my routine for both myself and my kids and as soon as a monkey wrench gets thrown into the mix, I definitely get frazzled/anxious. Like you said, the fact that we can recognize it is a good thing, but finding ways to get through it is the challenging part. As always, thanks for the amazing motivation :)

Hi there! I'm pretty new to your channel and from Northern Illinois. I just have to say you are such a great motivation. Since day 1 I feel like I have noticed little changes in my attitude about cleaning. I'm married and we have 2 kids (14yrs and 12yrs) and my husband and I both work full time. My husband has been able to work from home, but unfortunately I don't get to and even wind up staying late most days. I'm usually so tired and would absolutely dread doing more work when I get home. However, now I'm actually excited to accomplish things when I get home and on the weekends. So thank you for that!
Also, the song you mentioned ("Breath" by Michelle Branch) just made me smile so big! That was the only song that would help my son fall asleep as a baby. I had to sing it to him while pacing around before every nap, before bedtime, and even if he woke up scared. He's almost 13, and even when he hears it now I notice him getting sleepy...lol! Brings back so many memories of baby snuggles 💕💓💗

Completely understand what you are saying about things being repetitive. I think, especially being a stay-at-home mom, it comes with the territory. You have to clean this bathroom over and over, it's this time of day so dinner then get kids ready for bed. Sometimes I try to sneak something different in like spontaneously go for a drive and explore the area we live. Sometimes it helps me! But you are right. We gotta be thankful for this life and being healthy/happy. ❤ Thanks Jamie, for your videos!

Your life isn't boring and its the everyday mundine tasks that keep us grounnded I feel when my husband passed 15yrs ago it was these tasks that kept me moving along with caring for our horses I always clean bathrooms and change towels and bed linen on Fridays washing Saturday so uniforms are clean for school. Cleaning is an ongoing thing this week my schedule has been thrown out of whack though so behind on it all but thats life lol some good questions there looking forward to your answers xx

Jamie, with the pink stuff, once you have scrubbed it onto your stove, go and rinse it out then go back over with the soft side of the sponge and get the product off 🙂 xxxx

I absolutely know what you are talking about. I do this same routine everyday. My husband is getting close to standing up for the first time in 2yrs and I can't wait. I have been trying to mix my routine it does help some. I haven't had time for myself in awhile. I truly need that. I think that is why I feel this way. I'm a photographer and I have missed taking pictures.

Hi Jamie! I personally love it when u clean at night. I also do a lot of my cleaning at night too. I prefer cleaning at night. I have a 12 year old and a one year old and my husband is disabled it's just easier to clean at night when my kids and my husband are asleep. I feel like I can get more done at that time. as a single mama of a toddler i know exactly what you mean, as far as the days feeling the same. But again there's always a moment every day where my kid does or says something new or surprising. Those are the reminders that I use to recognize that time is passing and these moments are precious. Even when cleaning the kitchen for the millionth time, I'm cleaning big girl cups instead of bottles now. She's tall enough that she can throw her own cup in the sink now. Hope you get what I'm saying.

Jamie, I've discovered a solution for my dry skin. You didn't mention what you do but thought I'd share my findings. So after showering, I apply fragrance free lotion to damp skin. I LOVE CeraVe moisturizing cream but any fragrance free lotion will work well. This saved my skin so I share whenever possible 🙂

I totally understand what you’re talking about. Life can get repetitive but we don’t want to miss how blessed we are to experience days or weeks that are “ the same”. Thankfully we haven’t got a bad phone call or something traumatic hasn’t happened. I’ve learned to take one day at a time and be thankful for my boring days. You have helped me so much girl!! One thing I’d like to learn is your process to organization. I’m terrible at that. I’m bad with the follow through. Have you always been organized? Also, what podcast are you into at the moment!!!?
