I haven't listened to Cat in a very long time. Then, I heard Father and Son. This a.m. played it at my home and sat and just cried. I haven't a clue why. I just cried.
Cat Stevens isnt a singer. He is a poet and what a wonderful wisdom found in many of his songs. Sheer poetry. Im so glad he's gone back to performing. A genius!

The United States wouldn't let him into the country in 2004 for "unspecified security reasons". How could any sane person think this man would hurt anybody? His flight was not allowed to land in DC and was rerouted to Maine, 600 miles away where the FBI greeted him and put him on a plane headed back to England.

and I'm 81, and come here from time to time just to hear the singer I knew as Cat Stevens. He is wonderful to watch and listen to. He doesn't need all the lights and noise on the stage, just by himself he is a great entertainer and I close out the concert with him in peace and joy.
Cat Stevens was a big part of my life. I drove from Los Angeles to New York City and listened to his tapes all of the way. I was all of 18 years old and drove a pale yellow VW Bug. Good times indeed 1972. ♥

I was 19 when I first heard this song. Iam now over 70 and I still enjoy it with the same deep emotions. Times are changing but dangers that threaten youngsters are changing too, and parents tend to be protective towards their children no matter how permissive they may be. Simply because we love U, kids

I am 65 & bought & listened to this album when it came out. I recognized there was a spiritual aspect to it. It was part of the hippie revival happening in those days. But I was young and not so much a part of that. Yet I always like this album & listened to it often. At age 33 I was born again & now at 65 I have granddaughters in their 20's. One born again & one lost in the world. They do not have the rich music we had back then so I share these old tunes with them. Thanks for posting it.

I born in 1997 and I found the best musics which were wrote in 1970s. I hope I was born in his generation. I love Mr. Cat/Yusuf so much also because of my father's influence especially the song Father and Son which is one of the first songs i learned in guitar and taught to me by my dad.

Stumbled on to this concert and UA-cam old concert footage from the 1970s when I saw him in concert. Had an older sister and brother who would take me to concerts to see my heroes like Cat Steven's. i remember him seans 1970 i have so nice voise and the gitarr saunds whas perfect and the tempo in his music, but the voise is stil clear perfect english, fast his mom is from Sweden and that make me pride. I work in a dress shop in th e 70 and we have a recorder and laudspeaker in the shop and we play Cat Stevens and Rod S and AbbA al day long :) that whas a good time in my life,i wish it's can come back some day.

It’s very touching to see and hear him , live , in concert , 55 yrs later ! Fantastic to see him powering along , looking healthy and strong & sounding as awesome as ever !! He’s a great story teller ~ ❤❤❤
