Glad it worked for so many people, for some reason it's not working for me. The attack part does, but the ending click is still there (I set up the dials exactly like you did in the video!) I think it's even worse when using sampled instruments. =( Edited: It took a bit more tweaking with the "hold" and "decay" settings (it looks slightly longer than the one in the video) but it DID work. Thanks!
It's definitely more obvious in sampled instruments. If you have audio editing software like audition, you can go into the file and put a fade out at the end of the sound clip. Then, there will be less for the envelope to eliminate in LMMS. Hope this helps, and wish the best for your music!
@@docaustinlim Thanks, Austin! It took a bit of tweaking but it did work at last, with all the instruments I tried. (I've updated my original entry). Thanks a lot!
@@docaustinlimthank you ,thank you! I was told by a professional music producer that LMMS isnt capable of producing dubstep. After many hours of content watching I have lost faith in the big leagues who take drag and drop samples to make songs. Lol. This is soooooo much cooler. Thanks again to you, the (stock) sounds I thought I had to delete, I can actually use them!
@@docaustinlim this is a rough transcribe I am working on. No dub effects yet. I'm watching videos about cleaning up the mixes and gain staging now. Do you have any of those videos? ua-cam.com/users/shorts4OZdMkSfU0s?feature=share
It's not working for me for some reason when I change the envelope it doesn't change the sound at all and stays the exact same. I start thinking it's a different sound psychologically but it's not. The only things that work is volume pan pitch and that little square thing on the bottom (NEVERMIND I got it, didn't realize it wasn't on by changing the modulation)
FL Studio just has a bunch of extra features over LMMS, or are just easier to access. The ADSR principles in this video will be the same in FL studio, but the knobs will be in different places. Enjoy FL, it's great software!
You could try putting an equalizer on that instrument, and decrease the volume on the high frequencies. Can you tell me exactly which sound you're using? I'll try it out and home, and if I also hear this whiff, I'll make a tutorial for it.
It might not have attack explicitly written, but it could be under "envelope" or one of four dials labeled ADSR - attack, delay, sustain, release. Sorry I don't have a better answer! Best of luck,
@@docaustinlim it doesnt have the dials either, it just says "envelopes, lfos, and filters are not supported by the current instrument" in that section
Sorry brother, never used garage band. But you'll want to look for envelopes, especially the ones called decay and end. This would probably be knobs. Good luck; hope someone else can help you with your question
ive had lmms for about an hour and the clicking was insufferable you are the best human being ever

What if I dont have this option in the other plugin? Can I do something?
Other plugins have a second envelope setting hidden somewhere within the panel. It might be called "ENV" for short.
@@docaustinlim thank u :)
When I use the lmms bass it has a whiff or air above it that can be heard if you have the volume at 100, do you know how to remove it?

This did not work :( I even turned the attack up the full way. Then I did the others and just made the clicking noise louder
Is it a preset sound clip? Let me know which one and I'll play around with it
this isnt workoing for me?
Which instrument sound are you using?
I love you
how do you do it on sf2

im so dumb......., thank you
Don't feel bad - it's tricky. Glad to help!
Why in the world do the defaults have these awful clicks baked in?
My guess is that it's an artifact of what happens when the sound is cut short. But I'm not sure tbh
