Paddle sweep requires lot of mastery. Small mistake can be fatal.Best way to play spin is to dance down the wicket and smother the spin by playing from as close as possible to the pitch of the ball.Just see old videos of Subcontinent batsman doing it everyball.Sadly they are also now losing the art and playing from crease only.

while a paddle wud hv been effctv.. it's a risk sweepng agnst an off spinnr whose deliveries r pitching outside off and coming in.. it's a lbw contendr 7/10 times.. the aussie batters here had a problem of timng and findng a gap more thn gettng to mv the fieldr awy..
