- Had to replace a headlight bulb, so I converted to LED, also cleaecoated the hedlights. Turned out awesome.

I converted mine to LED and it's like night and day much brighter and don't need high beam most the time .😁

Gonna switch my daily over to LED lights. My wife drives it al lot in the dark so I want the brightest reliable lights I can get. Be safe and stay well.

Dang, now you've hacked a Caddie, lol. The zip ties are a great idea to seal the covers. Clear coating the lights seems like a great idea too, I will have to try that, thanks.

MrHevyshevy Which led light bulbs did you go with?
How is the beam pattern, light output, and projection of the LED compared to the HIDs?
I haven’t really driven it at night enough to make up my mind. They are brighter. One seems better than the other though. Maybe I have cheap bulbs.
On your evac code did you check your gas cap? If your gas cap doesn’t seal it won’t allow a vacuum in the gas tank for your evac system, and then it can’t recycle the old gas fumes. I know that you understand this but maybe some of your subscribers don’t know why the gas cap can make your engine light come on. Keep em coming, we’re always waiting for the next one!

Nice, How do you like those heat shrink solder connectors? I had added them to my watch list on ebay getting ready to order a kit.
They looked pretty neat and handy for tough to get to places but wasn't real sure if they wasn't more of a gimmick than a good thing.
I’ve used em a lot on the 46 Ford project. And other stuff. So far so good.

LEDs are great as long as you ain't the one facing them on the highway damn near had a head- on collision cause I was blinded to the point that I could not find the road in front of me
I'd think there would be a way to aim them so that they wouldn't offend the oncoming drivers but still remain practical to the driver using them.
Where things have gotten out of hand is with the multi-LED light bars. I've seen those in use on the beach at night while I'm surf fishing. They throw a surreal amount of blinding light. Those lights aren't even supposed to be used on the beach because they illuminate the people who are trying to fish at night. It's rude on the part of the driver using those lights and affecting others.
Is the LED head light cooling fan going to cool enough with the bulb covers on....

Only thing I don’t like about them is if you live up north like in Indiana they don’t get hot enough to melt the snow off you should be ok. They are better for seeing dear though.

Zip ties are almost as good as duct tape
They're like peanut butter n jelly. Always keep both under the seat with a 4 pound hammer and some big vise grips!!
I just clear my evap codes and pretend it never happened.

I noticed that everybody that ask for the kind of parts and descriptions of bulbs, you dont reply. we all really want to know please.
I just used some cheap led bulbs on Amazon. I would use a higher quality bulb if I did it over again. I do not know of one specifically. They were more like a flood light than a headlight with distance.
Those are not a good quantity leds.
Try Hikari Katana Novsight or Nineo

Those led lights are junk they don't last a year I have put 5 sets in our trucks and put the oem lights back in them
