⏰LIMITED-TIME OFFERS: 💰- SoFi Checking & Savings Account (Get up to $325): bit.ly/SoFiBankAccounts 🛍- Rakuten (GET $30): www.rakuten.com/r/DAYANA3694?... 💥ERRORS/CORRECTIONS: -Ally banks APY as of 7/19/23 is 4.00%. (may change anytime) -At (8:27) I meant to say $20,000 X 0.0415 = $830/YEAR.
I just opened a CIT Bank saving and CD account based off a video you made previously. They are currently offering a 5% APY on a 6 month CD. And 4.95% on their savings accounts. I am considering switching to SoFi based on the fact that they seem to be a very good bank. Now i am also considering Schwab since they dont charge a fee when you withdraw outside the US. I am abroad 2 months out of the year so that's a nice bonus
In regards to the 4.95% APY Savings account, would you recommend it for those that are trying to maximize their savings interest potential? Is it easy to deposit and withdraw from your account? I'm currently leaning toward SoFi myself but the APY isn't quite as high as CIT - but all the other features seem to outweigh that.
@@migueltoledo1884 Honestly, you should still open a SoFi account and use that as your direct deposit and checking account. I have Wells Fargo as my checking account bank because they're everywhere and there are times when I need to withdraw large sums of cash. I also have their credit card that pays 2% cash back on everything and I have all my bills that pull from that card to get the cash back. But, I opened a CIT Bank account because I had a good chunk of cash that was just sitting in my Wells Fargo account gaining no interest, and 5% APY on a 6 month CD was the best I could find, so it was a no brainer. I haven't withdrawn any money, but it is very easy to transfer money around my different bank accounts. Plus, it's very easy to open any of their accounts within their website without needing to talk to anyone. I also opened up their platinum saving with pays 4.95% APY. You do need to keep at least $5,000 in that account to get that interest rate, but I don't plan taking using that money for any thing soon. Once I put away a little more money into that account, I'll open another 5% 6 month CD account. And repeat the process as long as the interest holds. As long as you're planning on NOT touching the money, CIT's 5% APY 6 month CD is hard to beat.
BANK!! 🤑 I agree with you, my favorite banks are also SoFi and Capital One. I opened a Discover account recently too, so I’m excited to learn more about that one as well. Another amazing breakdown as always Superstar!! 😎🥰🔥
Had to grab that Charles Schwab account last night - this video helped convince me! I want that debit card for the no ATM fees, that’ll come in handy when traveling to Mexico, and the brokerage account for the Amex Charles Schwab Platinum card for later this year! Awesome video! - Ivan
I think these are all great offerings. That said I think it’s important to have one solid brick and mortar bank and one solid credit union. Diversification is very important.
Hey, Dayana! First time seeing your video! I like the content you are putting out, making sure you include banks that other youtubers have skipped over I do want to point out there are times when a face-tracking effect is added to the video and it is unfortunately nauseating.. Additionally, if you want to stand out above other youtubers within your niche, i would recommend having the logo of the bank in the corner for the entirety of their own specific segment, that way, those who leave the tab to search up the bank you're talking about can come back and know which bank you are talking about (assume they've let you play in the background while reading)
My personal favorite BANK on this list is SoFi due to their savings vaults and high savings rates. However, I wish they would have “buckets” in their checking accounts like Ally does.
I know, right?! That's part of the reason why I've leaned more towards SoFi, C1, and Discover! As always, thanks for dropping by and showing love, my friend! 💙
Are there any negatives for using a 0%APR card for a year of spending and only paying the minimums each month while keeping the funds in a HYSA until month 11?
Hello, I just have a question, since you had Wells Fargo with the checking and saving? And did you end up canceling but saved the credit cards only as in option? How was the experience in closing the account with Wells Fargo if you did.
Thanks for increasing my knowledge this topic, I recently subscribed to your channel. I want to give a big shout-out to all those working tirelessly to earn a living and build wealth during this period. My wife and I are both retired as an engineer, we are debt-free, and we're living smart and frugal with our money. Despite the economy challenges, we're still earning passive income thanks to our savings and investments. Investing lifestyle has enabled us to earn a steady monthly income through passive means, and we're grateful for it
I am in dire need of investment advice or tips. Last year, I hesitated and failed to take any action until the year concluded. However, this year, I am determined to try something new, as I am very receptive to various investment ideas.
Okay Martin, so generally speaking, investing calls for more knowledge. For this reason, it's crucial to have a strong support system (financial counselor) to lead you through, particularly while choosing assets. I work with Regina Louise Collaro, a registered wealth management company's partner investment advisor. For the record, it has been the best experience for my finances. You may have heard of her because of how well-known her services are. She helped me become financially solid through investment, and now I profit from her passive income strategies on a monthly basis. Therefore, I'll suggest that you choose a reliable investment advisor for yourself.
@@skoopqueenI value your recommendation Queen. It's challenging to locate a trustworthy person. I could really use your investment advisor after seeing how much money you've made through investing. If you don't mind revealing her information, that is
By looking for her name online, you can quickly uncover her information. She recently appeared on CNN and she is really simple to deal with no matter where you're located
@skoopqueen You are correct, and I am only one of many who gained from working with Regina Louise Collaro. I had no reason to live when I lost my job due to COVID in 2020, and it will always be a memorable year in my life. Regina made it possible for me to live comfortably through passive income, thus I owe her my life. To be completely honest, I think she is an angel who was sent to help those who are struggling financially.
BANK ! (Fashionably late , my apologies ) I have Capital One and (Wells Fargo … I know I know .. ) I do make a lot of cash deposits . I was gonna ask you Dayana how do you feel about Chase Bank ? I keep getting those open a account bonuses in the mail from them .
No judgments here; having a brick-and-mortar bank is super useful for many reasons, especially in your case. I think ideally people should have both a full online bank and a brick-and-mortar bank for balanced benefits. As per Chase, I've never banked with them, but I have received their tempting mailers! One thing I don't like is that they charge a monthly account fee (which could be waived with direct deposit or minimum balances, etc.), but other than that, I'm not too familiar with their banking side, just their cc's. But maybe I'll review them soon, since they're sending those crazy bonus mailers to almost everyone! haha 😂
BANK! Nice vid, I’m honestly planning on moving to SoFi! Btw, in the CapitalOne account, you said that $20,000 would make you $415 a year (around 8:27), I think you meant $830, but mistakes happen, just letting you know, I still enjoyed the video ❤️
Hey, thanks for letting me know! These rates are constantly changing, and with that, I’m constantly changing my examples, which led to the final draft being wrong. I initially had the example set as $10,000 x 0.0415 = $415, but I then changed the 10k to 20k and forgot to change the total. 🤦🏽♀️ I’ve pinned the correction in the comments! I appreciate you, my friend! 😊💜
Bank😁 i think ill give sofi a try been hearing a lot about that bank, i also got my apple approved 😂🤣 will be checking the savings part of it see if its worth it 😁👌🏻
Totally! I strictly use them for my rental property, and have no complaints so far! 🙌🏽 Thanks for dropping by and keep killing it over on your channel! 💪🏽
Hello, can you do a video on how capital one calculate their high yield savings account every month. Not gona lie, I kind of notice that their interest paid amount every month doesn’t add up to my calculations.
With sofi, does setting up a monthly recurring transfer from my current bank to sofi count as an automatic deposit? Also, would I have any issues with sofi if I live and work overseas?
