According to reddit user Poobix It could just be a coincidence, but using some math, we might be able to predict the meaning of "To You, 2000 Years From Now." The 145th Fritz King built the walls. Assuming he built them in the first year of his reign, and all previous kings reigned for 13 years (lifespan of the 'Curse of Ymir'), the walls were built a minimum of 1872 years (beginning of 145th king's reign) after the death of Ymir Fritz, and a maximum of 1885 years (end of 145th king's reign). "That Day" is known to have occurred 102 years after the construction of the walls, and the current point in the series is 8 years after that, for a total of between 1982-1995 years after the year that Ymir Fritz died. Eren inherited the Attack Titan very shortly after "That Day", between 1974-1987 years after Ymir Fritz died. The Curse of Ymir lasts for 13 years, at which point the curse holder will die. So add 13 years to the time that Eren became a shifter, and that gives a date between 1987-2000.

Kyle Hill yeah but so far the attack titan seems to have the most connections through paths (besides the founding titan) Eren Kruger could see the past and the future and Eren Yeager was able to do it too.
What Kruger says about "saving Mikasa, Armin and everyone", I think that's in reference to what Grisha told Eren right before he got eaten by him. We see Eren have a flashback of this at the end of Episode 9 of Season 1. Grisha said "In order to save Mikasa, Armin, and everyone". I don't think that's a coincidence. Especially since Kruger just told Grisha that you don't always forget what you're told right before turning into a titan. So that may have been Grisha's memories that Kruger saw here. From the future.
i remember that scene in the manga- but it was so strange and unexpected, plus we also see this memory in eren's dream, so i think most of us wrote it off. in the anime, its shown as more in reality (idk why i see it that way) and it threw us off. i love this show, i was spoiled during the airing of the first season who the 3 traitors were, but it never ruined each reveal, and it still surprised me big time- this story is the BEST
The scene with Kruger was in the manga but it isn't explained. I have two theories: 1) The Attack Titan and perhaps all titans have the power to see the future, that comes with mastery of the power. 2) History repeats itself so all of this already happened
8:49 “You’ve seen Ymir?” “So she’s alive” “You see her chained up?” “So she is alive” It’s like this dude forgot about the 1st half of season 3. The same way Ymir is chained up is when Eren was about to be eaten by the Reiss family. So no she dead.
Theres no history repeating itself. What actually happened is Grisha Yeager got inspired by Eren Couger so he named the son he got inside the walls after him
It’s in the manga. This anime did great putting more stock into it. With the paths and links to the Founding Titan it’s Krueger talking from Erens perspective and vice versa. That’s my theory.
"Love someone inside the walls. IF YOU CAN'T, we're doomed to repeat it all again. The same history. The same mistakes, again and again." - How many times have they tried saving Mikasa, Armin and the others? Since Grisha was able to marry Carla, and had Eren as advised by Kruger, will they be able to get it right this time? And from who or from what do they need saving for? Whilst touching the letter, Historia got a glimpse of Ymir's memory where it showed that she has Eren Jaeger's memory of him talking to someone about the "Path" and the "Founding Titan". The same goes with Eren Kruger whilst speaking to Grisha, 15 yrs in the past, it looks like he was talking to his future son Eren Jaeger. The same, exact words. And those statements were just being told by Eren to Armin and Mikasa whilst in the prison cell in the current timeline. It looks like it was all happening at the same time.
Eren Kruger sees future, unborn Eren Jaeger's memory and was talking to him. This is like the reverse of Bran in GoT, seeing the past Hodor and talking to him.
Kinda like Bran in GoT (with the door episode) their memories were connected while Eren was viewing "Both" Eren kruger and Grishas memories They're both inside of him technically.. And the episode also says that The coordinate connects all subjects og ymir.
When Grisha injected Eren to become a titan, he said "If you want to save Mikasa, Armin and everyone else, you must learn to master this power." Maybe it was Grisha's memories Eren Kruger was talking about, at least most of it. The conversation was from 1x09
I'm Japanese. Many Japanese were surprised at 7:24 scene. I will explain the reason! Actually, " Attack on titan" is a mistranslation.😂 First, this anime is not called "Attack on Titan" in Japan. We called it "shigeki no kyozin" . "shigeki no kyozin" has two meaning in Japanese. ①Titans Attacking ②The attack Titan(Titan's name) but many Japanese thought "shigeki no kyozin" means "Titans Attacking" because Titans are attacking on human at the first part in this anime. so many Japanese were so surprised when they realized "shingeki no kyozin" means Titan's name. but this anime's English title is "Attack on Titan " It means "(humans are) attacking on Titan", right? so the English title is wrong.😂 but if the English title is "The attack Titan", people understand that a titan named "The attack Titan" exists in this anime from the beginning.🤔 perhaps, on purpose the author might name "shigeki no kyozin" "Attack on Titan " in order not to spoil.😏
It's in the manga, Wellz. It's really subtle and confusing so that's why it can get overlooked, re-read the manga because Kruger explain a lot in that chapter. Tbh, manga reader like me didn't even understand why Kruger know Mikasa and Armin too. For all we know only memory of the past can get access, but that's only happened to Eren. EDIT : THERE MIGHT BE SPOILER UNDER THIS COMMENT
There’s the timeloop theory, notice how Eren Kruger says you have to fulfill your mission or else we’re doomed to fail and repeat the same history same mistakes over and over again..probably why he got those memories
@@lorenzoroberts6326 Yeah, that theory circling around recently. It's possible that the "Child" is actually Ymir Fritz and inherit everything from Eren or Armin. Eren might awake the wall titan and kill most Eldian and Marleyan, get all the shifter and give Armin his power. That's why Armin is narrating the show, like he tells this story to Ymir Fritz.
I haven't caught up in the manga but I think he was connecting to Grisha so he saw his future memories. Those are the words he tells Eren before injecting him
@@Dannydarko27Probably, but i think Grisha said that because he actually accessed his old memories of Kruger because he eat Frieda and "touch" (as in killing) Rod's children and wife a.k.a the royal blood. So when he goes back to Eren, he just remember his conversation with Kruger in the past and tell him to save Mikasa and Armin just like Kruger did. As for Kruger, we don't know if Founding Titan can sent a massage back to the past or see the future. So my speculation is somehow through the Founding Titan in Eren's body right now, the connection to previous Attack Titan gets re-established so Eren can send message through time and space via the "coordinate". It's confusing.
Grisha said the exact same line in episode 9 about Mikasa and armin before so maybe Eren Kruger was getting glimpses of Grishas future since he was about to inherit his power
Remember Eren dreaming in the 1st episode seeing titans eating his mother and killing people. Yep, we know that titan shifter can see in the future since the 1st episode. And at that time, Eren didn't even have his titan yet.

watch the first episode of attack on titan now. when it starts it says " to u in 2000 years" then eren has a nightmare, but its about things that hadn't happened yet
8:34 Remember back in Episode 1 of Season 1 when Eren had a dream and Mikasa wakes him up? He had a similar flash. I believe what Historia just saw were the P A T H S. In episode 1, Eren had not inherited the Attack + Founding Titan from Grisha.
That like infinite paradox. Eren memories = eren kruger memories = eren memories (infinite) One fact in manga: When people become titan , they will be have some memories of titan shifer before him. But in this case eren krugger have memories in future like paradox.
Eren had a dream the very first episode about some weird things including his mother getting picked up by the smiling titan beofer it even happened ( Dina ) and the episode was called "To you in 2000 years". When Erens 13 years are up, Ymir fritz would have gotten the power 2000 years ago. I think Eren is sending memories of the future to the past and Ymir is sending those memories back to the future. Thats why Kruger knows the future. He sees the memories of Eren before he is even born. "If you want to save them, Mikasa, Armin and the others..carry out your mission to the end." Thats the exact same words Grisha tells his son before he injects him. If you are confused dont worry... time travel is supposed to be confusing as hell :)
DUDE i love the ending of this episode so fucking much, it's so mysterious. the owl could be mentioning mikasa and armin for so many reasons: 1) eren is mixing up his own memories with his father's memories, 2) the eldians are all connected through the "coordinate," so memories can be shared through the past and future, 3) there's some connection between all the past and future holders of a specific titan (in this case, the attack titan), 4) SOME OTHER WEIRD THEORY. it's so good
Wait so if a person is born a Shifter, they only get to live for 13 years? And keep in mind, Eren only found out his titan abilities when he was 14/15, so the person would probably die a kid and never know they were a titan.
OH MY GOD! I JUST REALIZED, THEY ALWAYS SAY THAT THEY ALWAYS REPEAT THE HISTORY AND THEY NEVER LEARN. I THINK THAT HISTORY REPEATS ITSELF. I THINK THAT'S WHY KRUGER KNEW MIKASA AND ARMIN, AND HE WAS NAMED EREN AND I ALSO THINK THAT GRISHA DID NOT FULLY HAVE THAT MEMORY WHEN EREN BORN SO IT IS IMPOSSIBLE FOR HIM TO GET THE NAME FROM KRUGER and rember episode 1? Eren had a glimpse of the future when he had a dream... Just an opinion tho
Grisha remembered it all, thats why he wrote all of it in 3 books that they found in basement. Eren can see the future in the first episode, and Kruger words abt Mikasa & Armin, it's all because the "path" that doesn't confine by time. But yes I didn't understand what he said "...history will repeat again"
My theorie: U can see your the memories of the previous titan holder and know who they are what they did and so on. U can also see the memories of the future titan holder but you don't know who they are and so on. This is the only explanation that came to my head lmao
The frame of information in the middle the episode explains the sharing of future memory : Information Available for Public Disclosure The Nine Titans The true identity of Intelligent Titans stemming from a power exceeding human comprehension that sleeps in Subjects of Ymir. Said power is inherited along with memories through *paths* which *transcend space and time* . The Coordinate where all paths intersect is the Founding Titan.
The memories they share exist in a place independent of time. Future and Past memories, though I'm guessing hard to reach, are all available to any inheritor of a titan power. To me, this shows that the titan power is the power of an omniscient God.
Merciless Freak deppresions arc im crying jajajajaaj it was so dense to read but explains a lot and i hate marley and dumb eldians from there(but welp, they're manipulated by marley)

Grisha said the EXACT same line to Eren in Season 1, Episode 9. There was a flashback right before Eren shielded Mikasa and Armin from the canon fire with the Titan husk. The answer to that final scene is literally stated within the episode. lol There's even a clue in the Info Card.
Wait.. What... One moment... okay. The memories with which Eren Kruger comes across could be those of Grisha, because Grisha before injecting Eren says exactly the same: "If you want to save Mikasa, Armin and everyone else, you must fulfill your mission" ... And then is the other option ... that Eren (protagonist) has been able to travel in time ... fuck, I still do not absorb all this information. -I do not need to sleep, I need answers.jpg
For the final scene, Kruger said every ELDIAN is connected to something. This something is called PATHS where any eldians can receive memories from other eldians from the past present or future.

I have two theories:
1) The Attack Titan and perhaps all titans have the power to see the future, that comes with mastery of the power.
2) History repeats itself so all of this already happened
Considering the mythology and therein coming elements which most of Aot/Snk is based on, it could easily be both of these possiblities.
Yung Reefy well freida saw eren through the mirror a while back so I would say it’s every titan or at least the founding titan also

Their memories are connected beyond time and space.
How can you not remember this. It was the one of the most insane moments in the manga
Everyone's confused even the painting on the wall. 🤣🤣
Theres no history repeating itself. What actually happened is Grisha Yeager got inspired by Eren Couger so he named the son he got inside the walls after him

Memories probably travel two way ,not only to the past but also the future.
It’s in the manga. This anime did great putting more stock into it. With the paths and links to the Founding Titan it’s Krueger talking from Erens perspective and vice versa. That’s my theory.
the reason eren kruger knew who mikasa and armin are is because the attack titan shifter can see the future holders memories
The Attack Titan is capable of seeing into the memories of its future inheritors... In other words, it is capable of knowing the future.
"Love someone inside the walls. IF YOU CAN'T, we're doomed to repeat it all again. The same history. The same mistakes, again and again."
- How many times have they tried saving Mikasa, Armin and the others?
‘Ya boy got nubs’ first strike ‘he been doing that since HEEE was a lil keed gahhhh dayum’ last strike I’m dead 😂😂😂😂😂
Eren Kruger sees future, unborn Eren Jaeger's memory and was talking to him. This is like the reverse of Bran in GoT, seeing the past Hodor and talking to him.
Kinda like Bran in GoT (with the door episode) their memories were connected while Eren was viewing "Both" Eren kruger and Grishas memories
They're both inside of him technically.. And the episode also says that The coordinate connects all subjects og ymir.
Reactors in previous episode: too much info
Reactors latest episode: what?
😂😂😂👍
When Grisha injected Eren to become a titan, he said "If you want to save Mikasa, Armin and everyone else, you must learn to master this power."
Maybe it was Grisha's memories Eren Kruger was talking about, at least most of it.
The conversation was from 1x09
I'm Japanese. Many Japanese were surprised at 7:24 scene. I will explain the reason!
Actually, " Attack on titan" is a mistranslation.😂
First, this anime is not called "Attack on Titan" in Japan.
We called it "shigeki no kyozin" .
"shigeki no kyozin" has two meaning in Japanese.
①Titans Attacking
②The attack Titan(Titan's name)
but many Japanese thought "shigeki no kyozin" means "Titans Attacking" because Titans are attacking on human at the first part in this anime.
so many Japanese were so surprised when they realized "shingeki no kyozin" means Titan's name.
but this anime's English title is "Attack on Titan "
It means "(humans are) attacking on Titan", right?
so the English title is wrong.😂
but if the English title is "The attack Titan", people understand that a titan named "The attack Titan" exists in this anime from the beginning.🤔
perhaps, on purpose the author might name
"shigeki no kyozin" "Attack on Titan " in order not to spoil.😏
Exactly what I thought! (Regarding the spoiler thing)
I agree with yor both theories Samuel & Danny, and now my head hurts
8:06 idk why rob saying that had me dying 😂
19:17 - Eren has the Founding Titan (and the Attack Titan), not Ymir. Ymir has a different titan power.
The memories travel both ways through these "Paths" apparently.
Armin came back to life just to learn that he will die again in 13 years lol.
Grisha says the same words that the Owl told him to Eren right before Eren eats him.
Grisha said the exact same line in episode 9 about Mikasa and armin before so maybe Eren Kruger was getting glimpses of Grishas future since he was about to inherit his power
Because Kruger can see the memories of the before and after successors
Love the new outro by the way
The last part fucked me up. Now I feel like I dont know anything again😂😂
Finally what i waiting so long is when Eren Krueger Said “Protect Armin & Mikasa” and Grisha said “ who armin & mikasa ?” ..
Remember Eren dreaming in the 1st episode seeing titans eating his mother and killing people. Yep, we know that titan shifter can see in the future since the 1st episode. And at that time, Eren didn't even have his titan yet.
Actually he had, that's why in the 1st episode he thinks he's father he's on a trip, he already ate him but doest remember it

When he transformed for the second time in the first season, Grisha tells him exactly those words. “If you want to save Mikasa and Armin...”
Attack Titian has the ability to look into future
This actually makes so much more sense now
Wellz how don’t you remember Eren Kruger’s future memories?!? That was such a prominent part of the manga. I remember we all we’re like. “What in the hell?”🤣😂
You'll see why the person mentioned armin and mikasa in the later manga chapters... its a really good twist. But its not the past life ...
watch the first episode of attack on titan now. when it starts it says " to u in 2000 years" then eren has a nightmare, but its about things that hadn't happened yet
8:34 Remember back in Episode 1 of Season 1 when Eren had a dream and Mikasa
wakes him up? He had a similar flash. I believe what Historia just saw
were the P A T H S. In episode 1, Eren had not inherited the Attack +
Founding Titan from Grisha.
That like infinite paradox.
Eren memories = eren kruger memories = eren memories (infinite)
One fact in manga:
When people become titan , they will be have some memories of titan shifer before him.
But in this case eren krugger have memories in future like paradox.
Drake probably got mad concussions lmao
I'm sure you guys been told this a bunch but Cowboy Bebop would be an amazing show for you guys. Along with Samurai Champloo ;)
DUDE i love the ending of this episode so fucking much, it's so mysterious. the owl could be mentioning mikasa and armin for so many reasons: 1) eren is mixing up his own memories with his father's memories, 2) the eldians are all connected through the "coordinate," so memories can be shared through the past and future, 3) there's some connection between all the past and future holders of a specific titan (in this case, the attack titan), 4) SOME OTHER WEIRD THEORY. it's so good
How do you not remember the Mikasa and Armin part at the end? Lol. That was probably the most confusing part in the manga up to that point
He seems happy with his prize 0:14 😁👌
7:24 min
*The attack titan* : Am I a joke to you?
Wait so if a person is born a Shifter, they only get to live for 13 years? And keep in mind, Eren only found out his titan abilities when he was 14/15, so the person would probably die a kid and never know they were a titan.
If they inhereted becuz a titan died after 13 years and no one ate him yeah, I guess so
He is connected to the future eren memories
Grisha remembered it all, thats why he wrote all of it in 3 books that they found in basement. Eren can see the future in the first episode, and Kruger words abt Mikasa & Armin, it's all because the "path" that doesn't confine by time.
But yes I didn't understand what he said "...history will repeat again"
@@cherrypicklist5519 true. You have a point also haha. Its a nice anime tho, really
My theorie: U can see your the memories of the previous titan holder and know who they are what they did and so on. U can also see the memories of the future titan holder but you don't know who they are and so on.

The frame of information in the middle the episode explains the sharing of future memory :
Information Available for Public Disclosure
The Nine Titans
The true identity of Intelligent Titans stemming from a power exceeding human comprehension that sleeps in Subjects of Ymir.

Grisha said the EXACT same line to Eren in Season 1, Episode 9. There was a flashback right before Eren shielded Mikasa and Armin from the canon fire with the Titan husk.
The answer to that final scene is literally stated within the episode. lol There's even a clue in the Info Card.
Just letting y'all know the latest chapter (#121) finally explains all that BS at the end.
Wait..

For the final scene, Kruger said every ELDIAN is connected to something. This something is called PATHS where any eldians can receive memories from other eldians from the past present or future.
It's probably like he said things will keep repeating itself. And probably there already was a Armin and Mikasa in the past. And didn't get saved?
