Lament seems to be the flavor of the month. Don't get me wrong, I know it's biblical, but lamenting before the Lord is a deeply personal thing. The issue I have is when churches call for a group lament where they want everyone to lament together, and that's where it can be insincere for some because it becomes programed. Just my thoughts. Lament when you're broken for your sin, the church's sins, the nation's sins, or just sickness or death of loved ones, but not because you're told to. Now I understand throughout the OT the Lord calls for a solemn assembly, but balancing the OT with the NT is helpful.

My 16 year old daughter passed 15 months ago. She was my only baby. This song (and this whole album) has spoken to me in so many ways. Right now, one of the most meaningful ways I am communicating with God is through worship. It has taken on a whole different meaning. Thank you for listening to the spirit and sharing it with us.

First time I heard this song was my grandpa’s funeral last year and I relate to this song so much.
My church played this tonight and I came to the altar and prayed it was emotional ❤
I keep coming back to this song, often in the quiet times. When the tension between this world and the perfection of Heaven creates sadness in my fragile heart, I cling to this song. I love how God reminds us that being Christian isn't without suffering but instead, asks us to trust Him whenever the pain tries to consume us.
Okay, I have just watched the sunset and God revealed something to me. You know in another part of the world it is day, there is light and this darkness is only temporary, and during it is there is still light. There is light in the darkness, the light is still there. And "after this little while" the light will come again
This song had lifted me up in those moments of doubt. As an empty nester waiting for the return of a prodigal....your song reminded me of His love and faithfulness. Certainly, He weeps with us. Please keep writing these powerful worship songs!!! All power to you Rend Collective!

It’s all about perspective. What’s true in the light is true in the dark. We have to REMEMBER, and we have to realize that our perspective is universal. We have to realize this love and this hurt is for everyone.
