Decluttering IS self-care!! And yes - it’s an ongoing process. Thank you for your transparency - we ALL have trouble spots in our homes! Thank you for being REAL!!
My partner and I just moved into our first “together” place, a move that would bring me back home closer to family. But in the middle of us getting ready to move, my mother lost her battle to cancer, which devastated us. Now I’m here watching decluttering videos to try and find the motivation to start the process of settling. I just wish she had a chance to see our home before she left us.
I love your transparency in the process that’s for all of us. It gives us all a pat on the back when we do what we can and those “atomic moments” build up over time to make our homes a haven of peace. God Bless, Elin. ❤😊
If your not going to be travelling anytime soon you could always decant 2 of the 4 listerine travel bottles you have into the main everday bottle to use up. Then when you been away and the last 2 travel bottles have been used they can always be rinsed and refilled for at least a few more uses before they need to be repurchased. I do this as its saves on space and cost. I never understand why the travel bottles are just as expensive as the full size 😅.
I do this too and was going to make a similar suggestion - I've been using the same travel size mouthwash bottle for 3+ years and just wash it out after each time it is emptied. After using it for so long the label has peeled off and I like it even better now, because it just looks cleaner/more chic without the label. Reusing/refilling the same travel size bottles instead of buying new ones each time you need one is also a great way to reduce household plastic waste :)
Oh man, I understand how hard it is to try to sit when very pregnant. How far along are you? I was always very gigantic when pregnant once I hit the six month mark usually. I stick out A LOT, so man, sitting down is a chore!! you go, Elin! Definitely throw out garbage right away. I take most of what I own out of the packaging immediately when I get it. It is more organized and cleaner that way. I enjoyed seeing you declutter. Be careful owning some of these items that are pretty toxic though, such as some of the bleaches/cleaners. I appreciated seeing the realistic viewpoint of your cleaning. I still think some of your boxes are a bit cluttered in the bins, but they are at least a lot neater. I have pretty much the same amount of storage for a family of five, so I get it. It is not easy. I hope you were able to relax well afterwards!! Thanks again.
My hair stylist suggested getting oil for my hair because of dandruff but it turns out my dandruff isn’t caused by dry scalp but too oily of a scalp so it ended up being completely worthless and instead I needed like a salt shampoo. I spent like 60$ on this hair oil and only used it once or twice so I finally decided to give it to my mom because her hair is always dry. It sucks to waste the money on this product but hopefully she will actually take the time to use it. So far we put it in her hair once together so we will see how many times she does it on her own.
I have to agree with the comment about you not utilizing your bins to make it look more organized and accessible. I have those same bins and I have everything standing upright so I can find things easily and put back without anything falling over and looking messy. I am a neat freak tho! So no judgement just a suggestion. You did clean it up well and it looks better❤
Well that was enjoyable. Is it a dopamine fix to watch others declutter and organize? Sure feels like it. Your future self will thank you for everything you do before baby to make life easier.

You’re right, it’s an ongoing process. I did it last year and I see it’s time to tackle the space once more.

Great video!!❤
Looks as cluttered as before. The way you use and arrange your bins is not efficient for the space you have, I think 🌸
