Thank you Julia for posting ISI FS2 dance steps! I'm working on this sequence and it's quite fun. The most challenging part for me right now is the 10th step because my body is leaning forward after the crossover-like step, and it seems to limit my right hip to open enough to do the 10th step. I can do it from backward inside edge so it's probably just because of the body position after the back crossover like step haha. Looking forward to more ISI tutorials!

Oh, I wish this vid was around 🤔10 yrs ago when I was testing this for ISI! I will Go try it again after seeing you break it down into components and hope I remember it! Thks I seem to recall a program my coach and I choreographed with music and this sequence was in it along with the other elements of freestyle 2.

For my entire life I have got *too many* exams and tests in my own career (not ice skating). I'm pretty fed up with "tests". That keeps me from even membership of any bodies, let alone ISI through any rinks. Tests just put me off. 😅

@@wlchan7211 I understand the anxiety over testing. Unlike US Figure Skating tests that seem to deliberately generate pressure (in my opinion), ISI testing can be done with any coach at your rink who is a professional member of ISI rather than skating in front of a judge. Knowing who will be evaluating what you've learned by someone you probably already know takes heaps of pressure off of you. One other bonus: ISI testing is crazily affordable compared to USF tests because the purpose is somewhat different.

@@daleflier8667 thanks for your advice. I'll mull it over. Getting off work I feel worn. A supper will recharge myself that supports my skating for a few hours in the rink. Tests on top of that will probably tire me out. I'll seriously weigh it up, though. Thanks.

    Thak you, Julia.
    Your explanation is very clear.
I would like to live in a country where was easier to practice. Because in a tropical country, this sport isn't popular and there is a lack of place to practice.
