i have tried tuning my rabab multiple times but i can't ever get the sound like you get when you pluck the strings, do i need to put more work into the tuning? i have set it to F# B and E, still can't achieve that clean resonating sound

Are you tuning the complete Rabab including metallic strings?
If yes, then look carefully about the frequency of F# B E, since these frequencies repeat after every cycle so watch my tuning lesson again and make sure the frequencies are same too.

Bro its not that complicated. Once you are fluent with Rabab, all you have to do is play different notes staying in the same scale.
