Just got 2 of those last week. Gave them in a ported box on a dual da8001 (bigdwiz did an amp dyno) they are seeing about 500watts each and handle it like a champ.... LONG highway rides at high volume and never smelled coils yet. I compare them to type s and they have a bigger magnet than type s. Idk why alpine has these as there bottom line sub.
Thomas Nelson my tenant job on Baseline subwoofer does not like playing deep low bass a likes to play around 35 Hertz and above if I try to play lower base than that it'll start bottoming out and then the coil will start smiling which because the subwoofer is old I bought the subwoofer in 2013
Thomas Nelson if you watch on my newer videos I am testing the 10in Alpine bassline subwoofer again in a different ported box which is made for a 12 but I decided to put the 10-inch subwoofer in it because the cubic feet is closer to the specs that the subwoofer recommends in a ported box and also it's tuned 38 Hz
How much watts you have one them? I got 2 last week. I have them on the dual da8001, at 2 ohm they are seeing around 500 watts each and I'm surprised they handle it and sound so good. People think I have 15s lol
Nathan Fenton how is this thing I'm getting one put in the trunk of my fr-s. Is it enough power at 250watts cuz I want some decent bass but not the heart stopping type of bass.

It can move more than that trust me
Devin Smith I'm running it as my mid bass subwoofer and I'm running my 12" subwoofer as my low bass
Ah I gotcha makes sense
is the surround a cheap foam or is it rubber?
Antonio Irizarry it's rubber and just got a car amp powering the subwoofer
