If the instruments represent the characters, then Mae's the violin, Bea's the Accordion, Greg's the Sax, Angus is the Tuba and for some sad, distant sense of longing, in my mind, Casey could be the percussion. Just a thought.
So far, I’ve seen a lot on this, everyone’s solid on Mae, Angus, and Casey if they include him, but people seem to flop Bea and Gregg around on instrument representation, so I dunno
I know everyone gives credit to the violin (and that’s fine, it’s great), but people are sleeping on the sax, especially for Astral Alley. It’s so haunting, it really gives the feeling of doubt and regret.
May I just say that the Train Accordion (12:00) and Coal Town Sax (26:43) are like... the greatest things to come out of this game? The Accordion in general is awesome, but Train in particular is just... MMMMMYYYAAHHHH I also really like the Percussion line for Fish. (34:24) It kinda makes me sad that the Tuba is sorta subpar, though. I love tuba, and the Tuba in these songs is sad. I haven't even mentioned the Violin! The one in Alley (7:40) almost brought tears to my eyes, but my favorite one is Coal Town. (31:50) I think if I had to rate my favorites, it'd be Coal Town, Fish, Train, and Alley. I hear everyone talking about how amazing Alley is, but it just doesn't do it for me. Sorry about the essay-length comment, but there was such a lack of comments here and it made me mad. I have to share SOMETHING, and since none of my friends have an appreciation for NitW, I have to just hope this blows up! Edit: some time stamps and a mispelled word
Honestly I love the Astral Train Accordion too. I’m pretty sure this video made the accordion my favorite instrument. Honestly all of the non-lead tracks have sections I really like. The violin’s good too, though. I always loved how the accordion in Astral Fish sounds like some kind of sea shanty describing an unfortunate story. (which fits for the dream I think) The saxophone in all of the songs is really nice as well. Honestly these tracks in general are great. This entire game’s soundtrack is great. I could talk about it for hours, very much including these songs.
@@wuddle918 I love Astral Alley but Astral Coal tops it Astral Train is cool (but genuily forgot it existed) Astral Fish is sadly short the loop is just too short

amazing job on this! i love it when certain songs i love get stuff like this done to them though i did have a question ive never played NITW (yet) nor seen too mych of it(but god i love the music) i noticed that Durkillesburg isnt in this video it doesnt have an Astral- prefix but i thought it was a part of the Astral (dream?) series am i mistaken or was it just not included?
@@theannoyingdahgfor an actual alto, they couldnt go quite that low with the same tone. on keyboard, its probably different because the same tone is applied to all notes whereas that's not exactly viable for an actual sax if you know what i mean?
the violin and the accordion are my favorites, especially for astral train. on their own theyre fantastic, but the accordion with the violin when it hits that high note is just... ✨👌

It's Amazing How The Violin Have a Big Effort on The Music

Man I would love Astral Alley’s Sax Looped
Astral Train's sax is awesome
Thank you omg
I really like the percussion. too bad it starts as soon as you activate an instrument in the game and not individually. Thanks for uploading this!
Maybe it represents Mae as being the 'conductor', given how she starts all the instruments.
the violin usually makes the song but it's nothing without the others

astral alley is still the best one

what sax is this
baritone
@@InstaTechGaming
Is it? I've been playing these on my keyboard and I get the best results with an alto sax synth
Tenor
yea its baritone. most similar range but it could probably be achieved with a tenor if you really tried
