Well he did leave them after the first murder so they couldn’t escape. As said in the show it’s in the middle of nowhere (The island). He only came back because he felt “bad” and because of him only 7 people survived. He could’ve sent people to go and rescue them ages ago because he knew the location but he didn’t 🤷♀️
He never called for help to get the teens off the island or sum tho He didnt even actually try to rescue the others he only came on the island to regain his reputation >_
