i love this speech and Uncle John segawa People misinterpreted them wrongly, but what they are saying is right, the fame they have and respect they command is far better than what these young artists have. i never liked how Kenzo responded to uncle John's speech. it takes the intelligent ones to under stand these two icons. Ssegawa is wrong and anyone who says artists shouldn't work with government or receive money. What's the other option the ssegawa's and the group suggesting. It's only in Uganda where an artist has to survive on stage performances, our neighbors in Rwanda and Kenya enforce the copyright and rightfully pay artists their fair share, Ugandan artists are being ripped off left and right and the Ssegawa's dare to critique artists for fighting ?????

A lot of sense. As artists, we have not utilised our potential adequately to influence society, politics, morality, etc. You mentioned Dr Bbosa and the Ebonies. I imagine the popularity this group has and how much impact they could create if they moved out of their comfort zones! Our generation will be quickly forgoten.
