The hilarious thing about the “no-bra” line is that it’s also a reference to the fact that she got tons of stupid hate for not wearing a bra to the airport by people that dislike Mamamoo (she gets hate for basically everything. Hence why, like she basically said in an interview once, she thinks the only way she can survive in this world is to become a “true bitch”) she responded by saying that she was just dressing comfortably (as she should???? I suggest to react to Maria by hwasa (this was considered one of the best song of 2021) . The lyrics are on point in this song . The most beautiful thing of hwasa is that she write her mv and her song. I’m b represents the sequel of Maria , and she dropped this album without any promotions because after the huge success of Maria she felt pressured she said that she had difficult moments , I’m a b had to be a bside and not a title . In fact this year hwasa will comeback with her first solo album (the last part of the mv will be the sequel of the new one). Hwasa have received a lot of hate since the debut , never less she shows as a strong woman , she’s not like that , she’s very deep in fact when she talks you notice immediately that she had difficult time.

The dig for gold going for your dreams, is certainly a reference to her (and the rest of Mamamoo) being workaholics and always working a lot. Another line I want to comment on is the "I just want to breath so I go no bra". So she got some hate when pictures were taking of her at an airport when she wasn't wearing a bra. Hwasa doesn't have the typical idol look and tends to do what she wants (all of Mamamoo does), she used to get criticized A LOT, but it's calmed down a bit (although internet stans still drag her into everything, even if it's not related). I was searching for a comment about the title, but I didn't find any. Just a little note: the korean word 빛 is read as "bit" or "bich" and means "light". So is interesting that the title play on the two meaning, the english one and on the other side on the korean one - i think that Hwasa is see as a "light" by many fans, especially for her follow her own way as an artist. At first in Mamamoo the company was trying to "hide" her face, because they think "she wasn't beautiful enough", (in facts there are interview where all the member where critized because of their aspect, and also the CEO was saying that "they must be good, because they're not beautiful as other idols"). She made her own beauty standard that help a lot of people to start to accept their body. can't wait to see other reactions from Mamamoo's other song and solo!

Not sure if others mentioned it but the lyric about going braless, is in reference to some controversy at the airport when Hwasa was wearing just a sports bra. People freaked out and gave her grief over it. Then she did it again wearing a t-shirt with NO bra just too mess with the haters. So ridiculous, just let her wear what she wants, get over it haters. Also, one of my favorite collabs of hers is with a popular korean rapper named LOCO. The song is called "DON'T". The funny thing is Loco had a crush on Hwasa before they met for the collab. You did really a deep analysis, this is something I rarely see in reactions videos...thank you! Hwasa puts so many effort and thinking in concepts and lyrics that is almost a crime don't analyze every single detail. The initial scene can be compared to a birth, plus Hwasa has the same dress used in Maria, connecting the two mvs and themes as Maria was like a rebirth to her and the water (another recurring theme) represents life. Basically this mv is an alternative end for Maria mv, here Hwasa embraces her bad side, "If I don't became a bit*h I can't survive" is what Hwasa thought while working on new music and it's the concept of the title track. When she opens the door the scene is like watching inside that box she came out but as you can see everything is black outside instead inside the box is bright because Hwasa bacame the light who swallowed the darkness. As we will see later there are 2 Hwasa, one watching inside the box and one actually inside of it “there’s no light without shadow” as Hwasa said. The whole mv and lyrics are playing with dark and bright, white and black, you can clearly see it in this part “life is so incredible. Even if I go crazy my sin is beautiful” then “life is now so terrible I can’t cry even if I smile”. Her sin is beautiful because she’s doing what she loves, music, but she feels like she’s sinning because she’s ‘mistreating’ herself and the people she loves. This is her guilty pleasure: pushing herself beyond her limits. We can spot flowers in the whole mv, the pictures in the blue room, she’s wrapped under plastic like a flower in a bouquet and in the room with white furnitures, the only touch of color are the flowers…Hwasa loves flowers and her symbol is a flower. Talking about this room, in Maria mv Hwasa wearing a sort of straitjacket was monitored in a white tiles room, she was cornered by pencils (comments) pointing at her…now she’s free standing bold on those white tiles furnitures, this time she has a pencil in her hand and she’s completing a crossword with ‘Hwasa’ and ‘Crazy’. Basically she’s saying I’m crazy, so what? Again with the lyrics ‘In a word I’m out of my mind so far I’m alive’ like she has to go crazy working on music to really live. In the ending scene there is another recurring theme since Maria, the snake, another symbol of rebirth, transformation. Historically, serpents and snakes represent fertility or a creative life force. Of course that scene is hinting to another mv she will release for another track from Guilty Pleasure album or connect to her next comeback. Hwasa co-wrote and co-composed 2 out of 3 tracks and this is the first time she teams up with non-Korean music producers. With this single album she became the 1st soloist of 2021 to enter on Billboard world digital song sales chart with 2 songs in top10. I’m a B is basically a sequel to Maria. I highly recommend Maria because it’s her story. What she’s been through, and how she’s finding her identity. It’s the beginning of it all. Her whole album is an absolute masterpiece. You would love it. Also, this album too is also good. I know she felt pressured to make something even “better” than Maria. But to me this is also quite well. I refuse to compare because each piece is her story. Towards the ending you’ll see a continuation. Which means there’s another sequel coming soon. I absolutely adore your POV. It’s spot on.

I was searching for a comment about the title, but I didn't find any. Just a little note: the korean word 빛 is read as "bit" or "bich" and means "light". So is interesting that the title play on the two meaning, the english one and on the other side on the korean one - i think that Hwasa is see as a "light" by many fans, especially for her follow her own way as an artist. At first in Mamamoo the company was trying to "hide" her face, because they think "she wasn't beautiful enough", (in facts there are interview where all the member where critized because of their aspect, and also the CEO was saying that "they must be good, because they're not beautiful as other idols"). She made her own beauty standard that help a lot of people to start to accept their body.

Now you see why she is my Bias! She is awesome. Not sure if others mentioned it but the lyric about going braless, is in reference to some controversy at the airport when Hwasa was wearing just a sports bra. People freaked out and gave her grief over it. Then she did it again wearing a t-shirt with NO bra just too mess with the haters. So ridiculous, just let her wear what she wants, get over it haters. Also, one of my favorite collabs of hers is with a popular korean rapper named LOCO. The song is called "DON'T". The funny thing is Loco had a crush on Hwasa before they met for the collab. You can kinda see him being nervous in a few parts of the video. Then again, who wouldn't be if they were performing across from her. It's an incredible song.

When the instrument gets broken, I think it is exactly the same as some guitarist breaking his guitar on stage. That was seriously a great musical interlude and then the instrument getting broken, what a great Rock and Roll moment! This whole video of Hwasa's is GREAT! Very artsy and very inclusive of a whole bunch of different elements. The song is great but I think Hwasa is just somewhat extra. The music video could have been less interesting but she wanted to go all-out, of course. Larger-Than-Life Queen. Gotta luv her! :)

You did really a deep analysis, this is something I rarely see in reactions videos...thank you! Hwasa puts so many effort and thinking in concepts and lyrics that is almost a crime don't analyze every single detail.
The initial scene can be compared to a birth, plus Hwasa has the same dress used in Maria, connecting the two mvs and themes as Maria was like a rebirth to her and the water (another recurring theme) represents life.
Basically this mv is an alternative end for Maria mv, here Hwasa embraces her bad side, "If I don't became a bit*h I can't survive" is what Hwasa thought while working on new music and it's the concept of the title track.
When she opens the door the scene is like watching inside that box she came out but as you can see everything is black outside instead inside the box is bright because Hwasa bacame the light who swallowed the darkness.
As we will see later there are 2 Hwasa, one watching inside the box and one actually inside of it “there’s no light without shadow” as Hwasa said.
The whole mv and lyrics are playing with dark and bright, white and black, you can clearly see it in this part “life is so incredible. Even if I go crazy my sin is beautiful” then “life is now so terrible I can’t cry even if I smile”.
Her sin is beautiful because she’s doing what she loves, music, but she feels like she’s sinning because she’s ‘mistreating’ herself and the people she loves.
This is her guilty pleasure: pushing herself beyond her limits.
We can spot flowers in the whole mv, the pictures in the blue room, she’s wrapped under plastic like a flower in a bouquet and in the room with white furnitures, the only touch of color are the flowers…Hwasa loves flowers and her symbol is a flower.
Talking about this room, in Maria mv Hwasa wearing a sort of straitjacket was monitored in a white tiles room, she was cornered by pencils (comments) pointing at her…now she’s free standing bold on those white tiles furnitures, this time she has a pencil in her hand and she’s completing a crossword with ‘Hwasa’ and ‘Crazy’. Basically she’s saying I’m crazy, so what? Again with the lyrics ‘In a word I’m out of my mind so far I’m alive’ like she has to go crazy working on music to really live.
In the ending scene there is another recurring theme since Maria, the snake, another symbol of rebirth, transformation. Historically, serpents and snakes represent fertility or a creative life force. Of course that scene is hinting to another mv she will release for another track from Guilty Pleasure album or connect to her next comeback. Hwasa co-wrote and co-composed 2 out of 3 tracks and this is the first time she teams up with non-Korean music producers.
With this single album she became the 1st soloist of 2021 to enter on Billboard world digital song sales chart with 2 songs in top10. 'I' a B' topped iTunes in 19 countries and QQ music chart in China.

The large majority of 'reactors' are clearly only doing things for the likes, the clicks, the subscribers. No matter what artist or group they'll claim it all to be marvelous, the best ever, the greatest.. in short just acting to get the fan base for that group or artist to swarm to them.
Heck, some of them will react and claim someone group to be the best ever.... and not react to another song of that group for a year all while doing 145 other reaction videos to other groups, which they also proclaim to be the best ever.

I’m a B is basically a sequel to Maria. I highly recommend Maria because it’s her story. What she’s been through, and how she’s finding her identity. It’s the beginning of it all. Her whole album is an absolute masterpiece. You would love it. Also, this album too is also good. I know she felt pressured to make something even “better” than Maria. But to me this is also quite well. I refuse to compare because each piece is her story. Towards the ending you’ll see a continuation. Which means there’s another sequel coming soon.

mamamoo is different from other girl groups since they first debuted.. its my opinion...
I'm totally late on this one....but I kind of thought of the beginning ad that being the birth of her B personality and being ok with having those feelings and being that person when she needs to be. Women are shamed when they are assertive and called B's and c×%ts and all manner of things. So I see this whole thing as her embracing her new self. Not sure about the snake..
