To grab people back i think they just need 4 things 1- Makes fighter road better, just let people choose any fighter, and after around 1-2 hour of playing the game they will unlock 2-Make tutorials, dash attack tutorial, how to parry, how to shield 3- marketing, pay big streamer to stream 4- make the game has less hit pause or just make the overall game speed 1.25x , wont be super ultra fast like beta but will be good enough
I think when a new Player plays the Game for the First time they should have two Options: Spoilers or No Spoilers. Spoilers is the Thing you're talking about. No Spoilers is like Smash Bros Challenger Approching.
@@ExoticZah Nah, i stop playing supervive to come back after they added shields, team games have a problem where you need to trust your team , and 90% of the time you will get someone bad
Something else about the game changing mechanics almost every season - The Tutorial hasn't been touched since Season 1. New players are not going to be taught how to Shield, what auto teching even is or even realize dodge lands and short hops exist in the first place
@@b1ab1b-hexcolor I'm not sure if it does, but that's not really relevant here? I'm just saying, since this game DOES have a tutorial, it should be updated to properly teach the new mechanics If Smash doesn't have a tutorial, then that's a bad choice on that game as well
I much prefer when there were no shields. (I'm a Masters garnet player). Like you said.... I'm getting really tired of learning new stuff all the time and changing my gameplay style over and over. I just want to log in, playa few games and have fun. I can't really do that at the level I want with all this new contact I didn't ask for.
Honestly shields aren't even the reason I dropped the game. I can see how they can be a solid addition. I've just been burnt out from how hostile/toxic matches have been and want to stop for my sanity's sake.
I was actually excited for the addition of shields, but I'm gonna wait to play the game until Marceline gets add to the fighter road so I work towards unlocking her. I'm honestly super disappointed in the players who just quit and uninstall the game when shields got added rather than give the game a fair chance.
Im worried for the state of this game rn tbh, since i use other social media like twitter and instagram ive seen a lot more people talking about leaving or losing interest in the game compared to the people excited for anything. I also feel like shields were poorly introduced. Things like shield and parry definitely need tutorials for anyone whos new/returning to the game and are unaware of how those mechanics work
My question is what do people want for this game genuinely cause i understand balance is a big one but every game has balance problems so i don't look at it like oh if they "fix" the balancing that will bring people back and they'll stay. People didn't like the game without shields cause people were leaving then just the same so it's like if they don't make gameplay changes frequently then people just get tired of that game but if they do then the game doesn't go in a direction they like and leave. The only seeming agreed upon solution is just go back to the beta and while I enjoyed it for what it was i don't think that's a good choice either but i could be wrong.
What i think will help: Make Rifts something people want to play and can enjoy. Have cutscenes, try to weave a story similar to what the MVS comics are doing so we can anticipate and look forward to things. Even if the cutscenes are just comic sketches from the art design team. This will make casual players have more to do that isn't just the pvp element of the game. Help the new player experience through allowing the Fighters' Road pathways to be selectable. So people can get the characters they want. And add better rewards to leveling up characters. Whether that be slight increases to the battle pass xp or small amounts of Gleamium and really cool skins at levels 25 and 50 or an amazing banner at 100 for each character. Also coming up with more fun casual modes like Arenas (which i think is a huge step in the right direction) to give players PVP experiences that don't feel the same. This will keep things exciting for them and offering cool arcade modes could also bring in a new audience. Balance patches just make things better for those sticking around, balance has never brought new players because new players wouldn't understand enough about the game to really appreciate the before and after changes. As for balance. Shields to me just seem like a bandaid patch for 1v1s without having too much change for the 2v2 audience. Which I suppose is the best middleground they could muster?
@ I agree with everything u said I think the mk story mode approach for rifts would be great cause you never actually look at the text just go straight to the fight so that would be a welcome change and I think putting skins behind it also will help which it seems like they are doing, I been said that fighters road needs to let u choose who u want so no disagreement from me there and regarding the casual modes I think it’s cause I’m a big ranked grinder so they aren’t as fun for me but I can see why others enjoy it and with shields I agree it’s a bandaid for 1v1s but i honestly idk what to do with that mode
@daniellink8727 I halfnto disagree. When it comes to making the game dif to most other games, that's what makes it unique. Same goes for sheilds as well. I personally have not been playing the game near as much since they are just becoming a clone of other games, and that's not what I at least came here for.

Steven Universe, in my opinion, is a great show. I don't love it. I don't hate it.
The streets of rage 4 music brings me back to when I used to play and get mad at that game all the time. Good times
Multiversus is meant to be played with the bros. I haven't used shields yet, but they look fun.
I came back moment they added shields back, had given up in the beginning of the season, now with Marceline next week will play at least 3 hours a day
I saw garnet, I'm happy, and yeah the situation with people leaving is true, I'm still playing a lot cause I love garnet so much
Shaggy with shields. That's it...that's all I gotta say about this. Hard pass

They want this game to be balanced around 1v1s instead of 2v2 which is dumb since this game is 2v2 focused.
