By the time India has a single indigenous 5th gen plane actually in service...US, China and maybe even Japan would already have 6th Gen ones in the skies and 7th Gen being planned.
Government should pressurise DRDO,AMCA and all involved in the defence industry to work on war footing and operate on 24 hour basis to design and build fighter planes ASAP to counter Chinese superiority.
Government should encourage IIT’S and other private companies to expedite research and production by footing the research bill/cost.

Ofcourse HAL ADA are the experts in it but in my humble opinion I feel AMCA needs to have bigger Wings and side Internal Chambers adjacent to the main fuselage to carry more internal ordinance along with Standard 4 internal hard points. We should improve our design to accommodate more internal ordinance like J20 has by having a giant body. We need to do it in a smarter way by having smart design deviation from current F35 type design which limits ordinance carry capacity.
May be in mark 2 they will be more risk taking and experimental while playing safe in mk1
U mean payload is less? Bro there are no specifications regarding Payload official yet.. AMCA is a Medium weight fighter, expect no less than 8-9T of payload.. all specs online is a hoax

On Record AMCA still remains on Drawing Board not yet come to even a Prototype I have been seing media making noise. It's Ridiculous to see even Korea and Turkiye have a few 5th Generation Jets, ours plenty noise and no real time frames. Governments of India are utter non sensually shameful.

India should produce as many as Unmanned interceptor which can carry upto 2 BVR and 2 Short range missile for AIr superiority, or convert Scrap Mig 21w into the same UCAVs. which will minimize Life threat and maximize the counter Attach strength.

People need to know we can’t counter a 5th generation aircraft with an another 5th generation aircraft, instead should invest more on detention capabilities and air defences. Hal currently have a monopoly in the market, we should have more private players in this field, the government should streamline mrfa soon and include as many private companies they can in this program and thus help our private sector to gain valuable experience in building aircrafts , also should provide financial and other support to this private companies.
To counter Chinese J 20 it's better to deploy Durga 2 and Kali weapons and also XR- SAM missile along with BMD phase 2 for defence, it's better to make our defence stronger in entire borders of China

Yes we need asymmetric counter measures. China will outrun us in terms of aircraft carriers, fighter jets etc. It's economy is 5x bigger than us.

By the time AMCA is produced, our opponents will be bringing out their 6th Gen fighters .. India always seems to be playing catch-up with it's enemies, instead of leading from the front and developing their own ideas .. IMHO.
Amca is pipedream...will be completed when rest of world will develop space travel jetslol😅
China has 300 J20 now. But I think India should have spent money into Indian people, not wasting into its meaningless and ineffective military activities
India should join the Boramae program and merge the AMCA project into it. They have similar size and characteristics. Boramae is at least a decade ahead in progress and production could theoretically begin in India at the same time as in South Korea which is scheduled for 2026 for batch 1 aircraft. This would make Tejas Mk2 unnecessary and some components for that could be recovered as upgrades for Tejas Mk1A. Production of Boramae in India could be about 300 aircraft during 2026-2038.
India should also join the Tempest program which would provide even more advanced fighters to start production in India around 2038.
This would accelerate the induction of stealthy aircraft and provide significantly greater capabilities in the near term. All aircraft would still be built in India and the majority of components could also be built in India.

People often think india's enemy china has 5th gen so we must have 5th gen right aways .. partially it is ok but j20 is nothing but a frontal stealth design.. it doesn't have have a proper jet engine nor it glide wings and large size which will let be destroyed in dog fight . J20 uses 3rd gen chinese made quality less engines which are copied from russia ..you may say copying is great cuz not many can copy jet engines. But 🙅🏻 nope doing own hardworking and taking time to build right jet engine is only way to proclaim your indigenous product. Even russia stopped provided su35 cuz china doesn't do research and just copies others . The only thing they are good ..not good at but doing good progress is by conducting massive scale hacking groups . HAL mistake is that they are involving in production as well as research.. only 30% of workforce are doing research and remaining all are doing production even though its not correct so PMO this time took strict action to stop this and divide research and production as separate entities.. which scientists raised concern for..this shows how even within HAL there are those who work for anti indian powers
