I love this naturally, especially the way Haley and the band capture the essence of the performance with PMJ but bring a freshness, even though I’ve seen the PMJ one many times. Haley and Balam Garcia work together brilliantly. A great treat, thanks for sharing. ❤
Counterpoint, neither of those shows have produced ‘true’ superstars, while Idol has produced Clarkson, Underwood, Lambert, to name a few. Not to mention even those who didn’t reach superstardom from AI have gone on to have plus post Idol careers, like Haley, Lauren & Scotty, and that’s just from season 10. OTOH We’d have never heard of Haley had she competed in the newer, ABC iteration of Idol, where they zipped through the season with multiple eliminations. We’d never have had the chance to see Haley blossom as the stakes grew, I think she was bottom 3, 3 times early in the live rounds
