- I walk from Swinford, Mayo all the way to County Roscommon in the midlands of Ireland and talk about how little I know about the country in spite of 'being everywhere' !

Been watching your videos tonight.. I am grateful for your selfless sharing. Sharing your journey, outer as well as inner.
Hi Derek, I've been steadily working my way through your videos right from the start in the last couple of weeks, liking them as I go (whilst watching your new vlogs as they're uploaded!). I think I'm about halfway through at the moment; I really enjoy your work and joining you in spirit for your adventures.
Thank you very much and I hope you enjoy the rest of them Andrew. I am on the home straight now 🙏
Nationwide are looking for a new presenter ⭐️ so good thanks Derek
The skill and hard work it must've taken to build the stone fort is beyond impressive. Thanks, Derek, for covering these special places . 😊
Another fascinating video. Thanks Derek
What a fort truly amazing. Your so right about we only know a small bit of Ireland. In the last 5 yrs or so i started travelling around the little small boreens of Ireland the wee roads with the grass up the middle and i am amazed at what i see on the back roads of Ireland, forts ,castles, towers old cottages old graveyards and fabulous views too,and i wont have time to travel them all in my lifetime. Thanks Derek.
I Love ya Derek, I’m a newcomer to your videos. I’m working my way through them all. Your like a walking history lesson. It’s so interesting. There’s nothing like standing inside a ring fort & seeing the scale of it, to appreciate it. I love your walking tours. Your the best. 😊❤ liked & shared👍🏻😉
Castletown yahoo, love u man, u do a power of good for people, an you dont even know. God bless your heart ❤
Hello you! 😉 A real wet one for you today Derek but I love it. Especially the Fort standing for over 1,400+ years, it stirs up the imagination of the people that lived and worked there and how their lives must have been. I adore horses. I even love their smell so another thumbs up for that. 👍 It seems to me that there is a lot of derelict houses on route, such a shame and testimony to changing life choices. Maybe its time to return to nature. It reminds me of a promise and prophesy in Isaiah 65:21-25, I long for that time to come, it will be truly awesome. 🙏 Thanks again Derek for inspiring me and lifting my spirits. I needed that today. 💜💜
Another great video...just had a quick google on Kilcashel stone fort, it's estimated to have been constructed between 2,500 and 500BC. Bit older than 600AD....makes it even more amazing
Thanks for showing some of your beautiful ireland like this. So lovely and enjoyable to watch. I would love to b able to explore ireland, its top of the list. Im fascinated by the ancient ruins there. Something about them
Another good one, Derek, the Fort Give me the shivers… 😂 Thank you ❤
It gave me the shivers too! Thank you
Lovely thanks for taking us along.
My pleasure. Cheers John
I think the rainbows are following u 🌈💕
Wow, that was an incredible stone fort. It's probably busy in the summer. The horses were well covered up. Loved it! 💚
Great fort ❤
Enjoying these video's. You must be exhausted but cannot but admire your energy and stamina and curiosity for our lovely country. Have most of us forgotten our feet and are now depending too much on four wheels sadly. It's sad to see so many sad neglected houses esp cottages with so many looking for homes. A lot of work needed to make them warm and cosy again but surely worth it if its possible to buy them.
Ivy has a way of engulfing a building In Ireland, how is this possible , now that is a thick wall
Nice one Derek. I’d love to know your future plans.
6th century calsteal. Had an effect on your very soul by the look of it. Ancestral link perhaps. Who knows. The Saints themselves might have evangelised there.
Who knows! There are many very old relics like this the whole way across the midlands. From here all the way to the hill of uisneach and hill of Tara 🙏 cheers
