Great how to video. And yes I left my key in the seat lock and bag lock before. Then went riding around. Very easy to forget since it holds the key so well.
This is my 2nd Multistrada (previously 2011). I ordered my V4S with the lower seat, and I still had to put it in the lower position. My feet are still almost never fully flat when the bike is stopped! But it's still better than it used to be.
I think the 13/14 Multistradas were the truest to the cause. Yes lacking cruise control but the handling and traction control was so impressive. A long wheelbase always takes away canyon carving. For touring I would like the 1260 twin best. The bigger gas tank would have been nice. A 5.8 in my 2014 would have given me over 250 miles, just enough to get a bit burn going.

Here in N.Cal the Alameda County Sheriff does a motorcycle course for slow speed handling. I was signed up years ago but had to cancel. If you've watched some of these Harley guys do almost acro stuff with their big heavy bikes you see the value. When I get my V4 I'm signing up again. Check out your local counties who use lots of motorcycles. They give priority to officers but often have open slots. Plus you make friends with law enforcement. Gee, could that come in handy?
Hi Rembo. I did not know that you can have the rider seat in the high position and the passenger seat in the forward position. I think you know that, having rewatched the video, but I do think it is worth underscoring. I just made this adjustment and wow what a difference! One of my only complaints about the bike was the gap and slope of the seat with the rear seat in the back position. Having moved the passenger seat forward with the rider seat in the high slot, it is now perfect!
Very nicely explained. I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. I'm even shorter than you are. 30" inseam. But, this is my second MS. I sold the first one cause it was too heavy and tall. I missed it the moment the buyer drove away. I tried a Monster 1200S to replace it. No way. It's sold after one year.. I have a customized KTM RC390 I use for buzzing around and doing errands. The MS is meant for miles. I did a 6,000 mile trip on my last one. 400 miles a day and a Motrin at night. I'm thinking N.Cal to Washington on backroads near the ocean for my first trip.
Hey, do you know what the rubber cap is on the cover above the shock? I cannot work out why there would be a removeable cap, maybe to adjust the shock in someway?
"quick, simple, easy"....perfect explanation.
Glad you think so!
Great tip. My dealer didn’t bother showing me this. Thanks!
No problem 👍
I don't even have this motorcycle and still I am.watching this seat adjustment video for this motorcycle
Lol

May i know your height? Im interested in the bike but not sure if a lower seat and lower setting is enough for me to atleast tip toe being just 5'3".
@@draquine I'm 5'10" but the main thing is probably your inseam. Mine is 32" and I still can't quite get my feet totally flat on the ground!
Cuantos mides estimado ? Yo mido 1,60 m. Soy bajito. 😢

The most relatable thing you said was "I used to be 5'11""... I feel you.... I used to be 6'4" and down to 6'3" lol

I'm glad it worked out for you.

Yes I did
Why tumultuous relationship..? are there other issues with a Ducati?
Thank you for the very informative video. What is the adjusted seat height in the lower setting?
I’d have to look that up. I don’t know
Excellent job...thank you for sharing
You are welcome
I left my key in the seat spot! Too easy

I am not sure what cap you are talking about.
Useful video, thanks.
