If I ever goes to heaven, this must be how angels will sing. This is so amazing... had the pleasure to see Ella in London the 18/11, the best concert I ever have been to.....

Why you put a blur over the bass drum???
I'm a huge fan of Joni and this is my favourite song of hers. She is one of those rare artists who are in a category of one. Which is why almost no-one covers her songs. So it is very brave to take it on. How did she do? Well, she has a lovely voice for sure, can hold a tune and sing in key. But a zillions others can do that. The test is "does it touch your soul?" and in this instance, it didn't touch mine. Sorry Siobhan. If you were to listen to the likes of Jennifer Warnes who does Leonard Cohen covers, you'll hear what I mean. There is a depth, a timbre to her voice that just lights up the central nervous system and that is missing here, especially in the lower register. And of course the incomparable Eva Cassidy. This is not the voice of experience - in the way that that other fabulous Scottish singer , Jill Jackson, conveys. That may come in time and hopefully with some original material to show it off. A stand out talent but not yet the finished article.
