When Scott was trying to find a beat boxer to complete the group and he found Kevin on UA-cam playing his cello while beatboxing, he was most impressed with Kevin’s musicality. Kevin has perfect pitch, writes many songs, and is the most humble entertainer I know about. He also plays sax.
Pentatonix cover of Gold and Havana are very good for showcasing the play between percussion and bass. Kevin even takes on imitating congo drums and a trumpet!
PTX just dropped their official video of Oh Holy Night... Absolutely exquisite!!

Kevin is always amazing at anything he does. His talent sets ( because, hey...he has more than most humans!) are so wonderfully creative! I'm so glad you decided to check this out...and yes, you should have a look at the solo stuff from the others, including Superfruit, Scott and Mitch's side project that they ran for 6 years.

The videos on Kevin's channel (KO- Kevin Olusola) go back to his college days before PTX. He plays cello, beatboxes, loops and celloboxes, classical and pop music, solo and with other musicians. He recorded an EP several years ago; the title piece from that is "Renegade", which is amazing. However, since the baby came he has only had time for shorts. I love his original song Renegade & it's music video. You will enjoy all of his music. There is a video on YT of Kev playing the sax at Carnegie Hall when he was 17. It wil blow your mind!!
