Man I miss this; I used to see these guys maybe 3-4 times a year before Seattle's coolest venue changed into a health club; some of the hippest shows ever! My favorite Frisell lineup, and he always plays with great people. This group just had that once in a lifetime chemistry.
... Paul Gauguin in music and sound ... amazing lyric poetry in sound painting ... just blown away by the depth and breadth of pure artistry of Bill Frisell AND Kermit Driscoil and Joey Baron. Artists all.
I saw them, over fifteen years ago, in a Spanish jazz festival ... I just LOVE those guys !!! I have a thought for Kermit Driscoll, who's benn ill for 2 years ... Cheers up ...
This is one of my favorite Frisell compositions, and I've never heard it in a trio setting. I kept checking the running time at the bottom, wondering what was going to happen as it went on, and then around four minutes -- BANG! I love it! Is his amazing version of "Live To Tell" online at all?
Man thats nice stuff. Don't need a million notes--just the right ones. And those guys really feel like a band. Great communication, like Joey G was saying.
This trio is so amazing together to watch and hear. It's like they were born to play together.
Oh wow! This is crazy. Bill smiles when the rhythm section goes wild!!!

Part of the concert was on downloading sites a while ago. I like it even better than the CD.

Really like the bass on this one.
Forgot about this clip. Smoking freaking hot!
bill and joey are wizards!
I'm enraptured by Driscoll's playing on this one.
well stated.
this should be more recognised tune. Really shows Bill's style. Positive nad syncopated riff, repeated in variations. Shows how he explores music
does anybody know what kind of bass Kermit Driscoll is using?
Yeah, thats what i was thinking
that reminds me of drinking SPANADA
Frisell y compaňia en estado de gracia.
more like steinberger but i might be wrong
this trio is ill
looks like a sadowsky to me....
