    Thank you for the tutorial. It's exactly what I was I was looking for and plan to watch it many times as I want make several pillows for holiday gifts. Am I correct that so long as I buy a washable pillow insert this pillow can be washed over and over again it's put together. Is that correct? I'm a newbie to this. My last project I bought a non-washable pillow and it sort of exploded in my washer when I washed it. 🙃

      Glad it was helpful! You should be able to launder the pillow if you have a washable insert. I haven't tried laundering mine though. Check the laundering instructions on the yarn too, to be sure!

    My pillow measures 18” across even though I put 25 stitches across when I began. Should I make pillow 36” long and use 18” pillow?

    Thanks for sharing the pillow tutorial, I did have a question. All the videos I've seen show cutting the loops open from the bottom, yet it looked like you cut the loop open from the top and also left a very short tail. Any particular reason?

    • @Needlepointers
      @Needlepointers  5 років тому +1

      Can you point me to the section of the video where I did this? Where I cut the loops to make a long strand, I cut from the bottom of the loop and I'm not sure where I left a short tail?

      Needlepointers Thanks for your reply, I went back and looked again and I must have had a brain blip or something lol, watching in the middle of the night might have had something to do with what it. Anyway you didn't cut the loop from the top. I apologise. The yarn tail just looked kinda short.

    How many bundles of the yarn would I need to buy for that size ???

    • @Needlepointers
      @Needlepointers  3 роки тому +2

      Hi! The pattern which is available through this page (near the end) www.needlepointers.com/main/youtubecontent.aspx?youtubepageid=281 has how many skeins of yarn you need. Keep in mind that loop yarn skeins are different sizes so if you purchase a different brand or type then you may need more/less yarn.

    Can you do the whole pillow in stocking
    stitch?

    • @Needlepointers
      @Needlepointers  Рік тому +1

      When knitting you have to alternate between the stocking and garter stitches. If you do not, the project will curl. So, I recommend at least alternating to a garter stitch after several rows.

    Can you do the whole pillow in the knit stitch rather then alternating stitches?

    • @Needlepointers
      @Needlepointers  Рік тому

      When knitting you have to alternate between the stocking and garter stitches. If you do not, the project will curl. So, I recommend at least alternating to a garter stitch after several rows. This is also the case when knitting with loop yarn.

    How many foundation loops would you suggest for a 26x26 pillow?

    • @Needlepointers
      @Needlepointers  4 роки тому +1

      Mandeline, sorry I'm not sure how many you would need for that sized pillow. I recommend that you hold the yarn up across the pillow and maybe add a couple of stitches. Stitch like 2 rows and then check to see if it looks like it will be the correct size. It should reach to the side seams of the pillow. If necessary, pull out and adjust. Happy stitching!

      Hi Heather. I used two balls of yarn. Be careful because different manufacturers yarn is different lengths.
