Sir , I just watched your video. I liked it. The last part when you went up the bridge is a Veterans Memorial bridge. It is very humbling . All branches of the services are on the bridge. And of course the Native American lady is beautiful. We were honored to be there the day they opened and dedicated that bridge. My oldest son was part of the JROTC teams that were there to help with the ceremony and he was actually chosen to stand in with the Veterans Ritual Team ( as one of their original members could not make it due to illness ) . God speed and come back to Pueblo when its warmer.
Hi Maria, I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I enjoyed Pueblo and was surprised at how interesting that river walk area is. And yes, the Veterans Memorials are always so humbling. They call it the Armed SERVICES for a reason. Those men and women deserve our support during and after they serve. All the best and I'd love to come back when the water is flowing. Cheers. -H
Thank you for visiting Pueblo. As a resident I echo what a person mentioned before, over the next three years Pueblo recreation will continue to be improved. Quite a few projects in the works to improve pedestrian access throughout the city. Also, some of those vacant historic buildings have been purchased and will be renovated into multiuse properties.
Thanks so much for commenting and sharing the plans for more improvements. It seems like a city with a lot of potential and I really enjoyed exploring the River Walk area. All the best -H
I was just in Pueblo about two weeks ago and it has grown beyond anything I could have ever imagined. They have a fairly decent public transportation system which I used since a day pass is $3.75.
Hi Henry. I enjoyed this walk in Pueblo, Colorado. I liked getting a look at the various big murals about the town, the final sculpture you arrived at was superb 👍. Cheers, Don 👋
Some interesting murals on some of the buildings. Glad to see the Chamber of Commerce and Green Light Tavern buildings. The walk down Second Street was quite nice. Pueblo must be an exciting place to be. City Center Drive is awesome. Woud love to go to Bingo Burger when I'm there. Thanks for the walk through Pueblo, Colorado.
Wow. You are really cranking out the videos. No complaints here. I appreciate your 'chatter' during the walks. Without your narration, this tour would have lacked definition.
I miss my home town, they built that river walk back in 1998 or 1999 I believe, and they have expanded it in the last 21 years, down to earth friendly people there. Thanks for this video !! Brings back memories.
I enjoyed your video. Born and raised in this gorgeous town. As a child, I ran around the area you showed. My Father worked for the railroad. Dr. Childres was the reason there is a river walk. We are also known for our green chili. Color Tavern on 4th and the Star Bar make the BEST green chili sloopers.
You totally by passed some of the best sites here. Places like Karmatic Creations gift shop full of gemstones, crystals, geods, handmade jewelry etc. ,Shamrock Brewery where you can try homemade beer& excellent food, The Escape Room , And the Actual Arkansas River that is full of water and walking, hiking& biking trails just past the railroad tracks by 5 story library that you didnt go to. And Gold Dust Saloon. The actual Arkansas River goes on for miles. People go canoeing& tubing in the summertime. And The Music Store Independant Records. And of course the mall& Guitar Center& other major stores& movie theatre, City Park with childrens Amusement Rides& the Zoo. The nature Rapture Center wild bird refuge where they have Eagles, Falcons, Owl etc....& Dinosaur Park with archeological relics& dinosaur bones. Etc...
And Ive never seen the Riverwalk empty with no water and the waterfall as well as centerpiece statue full of animals, mountsin lion, bear, deer, racoon, Elk, Rabbit, Prarie Dogs etc. Cant believe they removed it.
Imagine a small city like pueblo with pedestrian infrastructure! Unfortunately this is likely to remain in our imaginations because America has a car problem like it has an optiate problem.
I imagine cities like that all the time. I would love to see more pedestrian and bike friendly infrastructure. It could solve so many of our problems. Not all of them, of course, but a lot. Still, this was a lovely pedestrian friendly zone and I would love to go back in the spring time when the water is running. Thanks for watching and commenting. - H
@@theodoresmith3353 I think that might be true of the rest of the city but I'll let locals chime in with their expertise. More of a pedestrian zone in this area for sure, and the main drag is still car-centric.
I've traveled the world, War zones included, pueblo is by far the most trash place I've ever lived. From the racism to the materialistic people. From the temperamental weather to the crap job market. Don't forget the crime and dope needles all over the ground. The city mottos are "pray for pueblo" and "don't date women from pueblo" for a reason. Avoid at all costs.
Watching your video makes me feel like I'm somewhere else. Traveling without moving. Amazing!
Thanks
Very nice video of Pueblo. The maiden sculpture is stunning.
Many thanks! Yeah, I loved that too. -H

Very cool. Thanks for sharing those memories. For those of us who don't know, could you tell us what a "green chili slooper" is? -H
Thanks Henry. The town seems more industrial
Yeah, it sort of does and it's on the high plains which is similar to desert. Thanks for watching and commenting -H

Hey, I’m from Pueblo! Cool walk :)
Can I ask, what camera setup you use to make this video? Super curious!
Absolutely. I used a GoPro 8 with a Scotty Makes vertical stabilizer and a zoom h1n audio recorder.
@@CityWalks Thanks! Keep it up, great videos
