  • Carlene Camp tells the interesting and funny story about how she was chosen to interpret by Deaf people in her church. Many new signers can relate to the nervous "first time" interpreting. (Remember, this story happened in 1966.)

    Carlene,
    You have been a blessing to me. I used to work at the Bill Rice Ranch for one summer and went back many summers during Deaf weeks to work with the Deaf. You were definitely a roll model for me! Thank you for being willing!

    Wow you are so blessing to learn ASL, I cried your whole beautiful story because I am deaf. My family refused to learn ASL. But I am blessing that I have a daughter that she does ASL with me. Bless you that you interpreting deaf people in ANY churches. 🤟
