i am reading the comments and didnt realize people are scared to use this. there is a "cashier" that oversees the self checkout area. simply pull your cart to the next available checkout and tell the employee that it is your first time and she will probably walk you through it. also, since one line is for all the checkouts, nobody will be wondering what is taking so long. one thing not covered in this video is that the bags are on a scale so make sure you put your item in a bag before putting it in your cart. items without a bar code (usually produce) will need to be looked up individually. items that need age verification (R rated movies, spraypaint, medication, etc.) will require the cashier to validate before continuing. so even if the cashier keeps coming over, dont be embarrassed, people will just assume you are purchasing a video game or cough syrup.

I would be in there for a while with the self checkout. Maybe I should give it another try. I need about a dozen canned goods for my kitchen cabinet.

Heyyy!!! After ringing yourself up, click pay. If you have a credit card just slide you card on the reader. It will say credit or debit and you’ll use which one. Everything pops up on the screen. For fruits and vegetables. Sat your items in the scale, and it will know it’s for weighing, on the screen push the vegetables or fruit you have and it will do the rest. You’ll be just fine.

can you use a WIC card at self checkout?
Jennifer Monsivais No that’s the down part of it. You can go to the self check out area, but there’s a cashier there to ring up WIC at that area.
