Hi Chris, I want to thank you for helping me to get a 9.0 in IELTS reading in my first atempt. Thank you, Chris posting this video. I watched many UA-cam videos about teaching students skills. Every time it was unclear, every question has the same skills, which are scanning and skimming. My reading score was terrible, I’m taking VIP course with Ielts advantages now. I wasn’t expected there are massive information and skills to learn and I realized that I was doing WRONG whole time. Thankfully, I feel I found the right professional teacher here. I can’t wait my scores increase near future 🎉 I want to say thank you for passing the right message to the students whoever struggling with Ielts. Once I get aimed scores, I will send out email:) I hope I can become one of your amazing students. 🎉

Loved this video. Please make these sort of comparatively "shorter" videos with tips on writing and listening too
Thanks for your suggestion. I'll look into it. If there's anything we can assist you with regarding your IELTS preparation, please feel free to reach out.
So I have my IELTS test in a few days.
2 weeks ago I was practicing with the first example you cited. I obtained high scores with their mock tests. As high as 38 out of 40 questions.
After practicing all of their mock tests I went onto to the IELTS ready member platform and I failed miserably on their practice tests even scoring as low as 10.
Moral lesson, their training platform didn’t exactly prepare me for the exams. I would have failed the IELTS miserably if I had proceeded to write the exams without sourcing for more information.
There’s a lot of materials out there, you the student have to firstly understand the IELTS and then once you understand you should be able to filter through accurate and inaccurate training materials.
Anyways, all the best to everyone!
Hey chris ,i just wanna say that with your help i got 7.5 in reading and 7 in listening (overall6.5) my requirement was only overall 6 at last , i want to say thank you soooo much!
Once upon a time I was a big fan of that youtuber, then I realised that fact which is explained in this video. Intelligent trick they play with students who are aspirants.
Hi Chris, I'm writing this to tell you how much I appreciate this channel. With your tips, I got a perfect score on Listening and Reading. While I luckily only got 7(with your essay builder) and but only 6.5 on speaking cuz I didn't practice it much. With an overall score of 8, your channel has helped me so much

Hi Chris, greetings from 🇺🇦Ukraine. Before passing my IELTS I was watching your videos for about a week. My overall score is 7,5 and my reading, that I feared I wouldn’t pass, is 8,5. Of course it’s not only your advices that helped me, but they definitely really improved my knowledge about the exam grading system and provided really convenient tips. Thank you!!!

I only had 10 days to prepare for ielts due to my application deadline… i was so tensed that how am i gonna do that and then i came across your videos and they’ve been quite helpful… thankyou so much 😊💕
Hey Cris may i know what books are you using in this videos?please I'm interesting
wanna ask about the british counsil website, I can not find the lessons that you have showed in your video
I took the IELTS test 3 times and I managed to improve from 6 to 8.5 in Reading. Between my 2nd and 3rd retake, I went from 7 to 8.5 only in three months just when I did one thing differently: I stopped reading and understanding the whole text. I find it completely misleading and disingenuous to tell people to fully understand everything in the text. You are a native speaker and you have been teaching IELTS for a living, so obviously it seems easy for you. It is really striking to me though how disconnected you are from relating to your students’ struggle.
And why the negativity towards other instructors? For a non-native speaker an 8 is still a progress, and I'm proud of anyone making progress and sharing their journey trying to help! Those instructors’ advice was really helpful for me and I will always be grateful!
@@SamsOpinion I made a whole video about my personal experience to get to 8.5 just in 3 months ;)
@@SamsOpinion Well! You can do it in a shorter period of time, depends on your skills and motivation! 3 months was actually the period that the test was available for me to retake again, there were no free spots before that. But essentially, I give the formula that worked for me and I hope my experience can benefit you to accelerate your learning! But at the end of the day, you have to practice for sometime to achieve that result ! Unfortunately I don’t have the magic wound to make it happen overnight! ;)
This lesson is amazing and useful for all of learners
I'm glad you like it. If there's anything we can assist you with regarding your IELTS preparation, please feel free to reach out.
@Ieltsadvantage
I have a question for you
My question is, actually, about comprehension, exactly on reading, there are a lot of problems with my comprehension skills. However, I know enough vocabulary that I think enough but results

Hi there! I just got my IELTS scores and I'm happy to report that I got my desired overall band score of 8 (L 8.5 R 9 W 6.5 S 8.5)! I did flop in the writing portion because I panicked and didn't finish task 2 on time. Something to improve the next time I attempt this test. Thank you so much Mr. Chris for the resources that you have so generously provided.
To anyone reading this who is also planning to do the IELTS test, believe that you can do it and practice as much as you can! Your hard work won't betray you. Sending everyone lots of love from Indonesia

I can’t believe I wasted 2 weeks, religiously watching and taking in all the informations from E2 IELTS! 😢 I wish I discovered your channel earlier, and I could have avoided wasting my time, the confusion and the tension headache from the other channel. 😂 Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge and skills with us. I’m glad I clicked on the suggested video that I’ve been ignoring since I was obsessed with the wrong youtube channel. Well, atleast there’s still time for me to learn the correct and best skills for my upcoming exam. Thanks so much and keep doing what you are doing! 😘😘😘
@@Ieltsadvantage oh you have no idea how relieved I am after I’ve watched your videos. There was something about the essay task 2 that really gave me tension headache. I knew in my gut that it wasn’t giving me 100% of what I needed. After watching three of your videos, that’s when I proved that my instinct was right after all. You just eased all my anxieties away, and I felt that I’m on the right path. For that, I can’t thank you enough. May your company reap all the success that you deserve. 😘
I have a question, if the question says one word only and I am writing pleural form of word does it make the answer incorrect??
I think I've watched this video))
but thank you anyway, you cannot imagine how much you help us, respect👑
My pleasure! If there's anything we can assist you with regarding your IELTS preparation, please feel free to reach out.
I will take IELTS Academic paper exam, however I have ADHD that leads me to miss some points. When I am doing mock exam to myself, for the reading part, I am completing within 30 minutes and having band of 6.5. The issue in here is, I forget rapidly what I read and it makes me frustrated. So, my question is "do you have any suggestion for people with ADHD?"
Can anyone help me with one question?😭
Yesterday I did a reading task on one website and I did not understand why my answer was incorrect. The sentence in the TEXT looked like this: “Judging by the bones, the Kiffian appeared to be a peaceful, hardworking people”. Task said to fill the sentences with NO MORE THAN 3 WORDS OR/AND NUMBER: “Kiffian seemed to be ____________, hardworking people”. My answer was “a peaceful”, but it said that correct answer was “peaceful” (without any article). I am really confused😭
Hi. I was just wondering one thing. Someone on IG made a post, saying that there hasn't been anyone who has got perfect score of 9 (overall and each skill) on IELTS. I, on the other hand, believe there should be somebody. I just can't believe there isn't anyone who has reached that score. Unfortunately, I can't find any evidence. What do you think?
Well, It depends on individual’s ability. If you are loaded with full range of vocabularies then you will quickly grasp the ideas. I guess there are no any certain tricks for reading, it’s all about how much you understand from your own knowledge.
The tip at 7:50 mark doesn't work for me and even made me more struggle to answer, its the same video that i watched for the tips too.
can i download cambridge ielts books pdf file online and use it ? how relaible is it?
Wanna be as successful as Chris, just learn to use other's labour effectively
Thank you chris, you are right because i saw a lot of videos on how to improve reading from. 7 to 9, and i did'not find any usefull and workable ones. Can you make video about this either, how to practice and manage time
Hi there, you might find this video helpful: ua-cam.com/users/liverqU7UggGWes. Please enjoy it. If you have any questions or need our team to help you prepare for your IELTS exam, please feel free to contact us.
Hey Mr. Chris. I'm on B1 level and have an Ielts Academic next saturday. I've just discovered your channel. What should I focus generally for exam? In fact, I'm never self confident due to ielts.
Hi there, please read this article from our website 'IELTS Advantage- My IELTS test is next week, what should I do?" on what to do the week before your exam. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us. Best of luck with your test.
I would say, the correct way to deal with the paragraph is to read one paragraph and find the topic.
Thank you for the great tips but the key takeaways from the video actually starts at 9:56 The rest were just unnecessary and a waste of time. Instead of going on and on about how your strategies work, just go straight to the point. A person in the right mind can tell by themselves if the tips make sense or not. Or at least just explain how they work briefly or at the end instead of more than half the video lol. We already get it that you are professionals and know what you're doing so there's no need to explain or prove it
I got my IELTS results today and I was pretty nervous about my speaking part.
Turns out I got band 9 in speaking, so I can't complain
Chris, may I ask you some questions, where is it better to write your overview in the task 1, after the introduction or at the end of the text, or it doesn't matter? And what is the order of completing the test?
Thank you very much for your videos, never have I seen such a talented online teacher)
Chris is the first person to say what I am always thinking of. I totally agree with you
