It’s the race of the bird (Cuckoo). The mother looks for an nest of other birds an lay her egg in it and flys away. The birds from the other race will feed the Cuckoo and work therefore nearly to death.
Probably. From what I’ve read the cuckoo hatchlings do this because their nerves on their back are highly sensitive and so anything touching their back they’ll try to push away. They don’t know it’s an egg so they wouldn’t know it’s a marble instead.
Some birds are protecting themselves by laying eggs with different patterns, colors, and build very intricate nests who will not allow the cuckoo to enter and parasite them.
The Crowbird in Northamerica does the same as the cuckoo. But the Robins learned to recognize the Crowbirds fake eggs and destroy them and any Crowbird that goes to close to their nests. Nature seems to make animals develope countermeasures in time, until the parasite nestlings develope another strategy to fool them again.
In some cases the parasitic bird will watch to see if their egg is rejected, and if so will wait and destroy the next and eggs of the birds that rejected it, only to lay another parasite egg in their next nest. They're real assholes

the baby cuckoo is bigger than the parent bird. The baby cucko could also eat the parent bird that is feeding it. I wonder if the baby cuckoo matures, does it treats the bird that 's feeding it as parent?
This is amazing how this bird merely minutes after hatching knows by instinct to try to get the rest of those eggs out of the nest. My question is, do cuckoos bird ever hatch their own chicks? And if they do, I’m guessing they only lay one egg since if the lay more than one, whichever chick hatch first must toss the rest of the eggs out of the nest. I’m just guessing since I don’t know this bird.
No, they’re lazy birds. No nest no hatchlings. Nature’s cruelty. The really sad part is the parent doesn’t know any better to keep the cuckoo chick from kicking out the eggs! It just sat there watching!
It’s so crazy that it just knows what to do, fresh outta the egg. The cuckoo prolly keeps the balance. Maybe preventing the overpopulation of certain bird species.
I've seen a couple of videos where the cuckoo removed eggs or baby birds while the parents weren't present. How is it this parent is witnessing this and does nothing to haltthese actions? Also, are birds unable to identify their own eggs and babies from another breed? I've always disliked birds bc I'm afraid of them, (😭don't judge me lol), but recently I stumbled into videos like this and have become obsessed with seeing them every since. So pardon me if my questions seem odd or ignorant. I'm just seeking the answers for my own knowledge and a better understanding. Oh, and yes birds still seem frightening to me, so I don't watch these chronicles if I'm alone at night😂. Be safe!!
Cuckoo birds lay eggs that mimic other birds eggs. They look almost exactly alike. That’s why it always seemed to obvious to me that the thing about how you should never touch bird eggs because the mother will abandon them is clearly a myth. They can’t tell what eggs they even laid much less if you touch them.
Animals don’t think and assimilate things like we do. The mom bird don’t understand that the chick is doing that do destroy the other eggs. I’ve seen other mom birds reacting when the egg drops on the ground after the cuckoo pushed them out, but only to look on the ground and proceed to warm the nest. It’s simple like that… they can’t understand things like we do, they are not racional animals. About your other question, I won’t remember the species of the bird now, but they noticed that this bird can identify the cuckoo egg on their nest due to it’s different coloration from its own egg, so they hatch the egg using their beak and take it out of the nest. Now, the worst part: some cuckoo moms stay to see if the little cuckoo is going to be properly fed by the other birds, so if she notices that the birds destroyed her egg, se will destroy the whole nest. I mean… that is no concept of good and evil in nature, but Cuckoos have made their name to be one of the most hated birds ever lol
Have you never had a bird nest in your yard? I get house finches on my porch about two feet from the door. Birds aren’t scared of humans unless you’re actively trying to chase them or grab them.
I recall a website or video somewhere on the internet that sometimes the cuckoo picks a nest where the egg doesn't get pushed out but the chicks are as big as cuckoo chicks and hatch at the same time so if the cuckoo happens to lay an egg in the species of bird that lays in that nest, it's just an extra mouth to feed, and is no big deal to the parents of that species. They might also make nests that the cuckoo can't push the eggs out of, so what happens is that mom notices an extra mouth to feed and is extra busy feeding it.
@@danielking1921 they also are evolved to hatch faster and the eggs themselves are nearly identical but larger. The parents will already favor the chick from the larger egg and obviously the one that hatches first gets the most good because it has been alive longer.

bestamerica We don’t really know why cuckoos push out their hosts eggs. But we do know that the instinct to clear the nest stops after about three days. So there are cuckoos who are raised with “siblings.” We also know that these birds tend to mature with a lower weight and that occasionally, parent birds will identify it as a parasite and kill it if they can compare it to their chicks. But there isn’t conclusive data that says for sure that chicks that don’t manage to clear the nest don’t survive as long as those that do. This looks like it’s a wildlife refuge of some sort. Places like that typically don’t get involved unless one species is either invasive or endangered. Most ecologists would be hesitant to try to mess with the natural nest dynamic.

3:14 Mama bird!! In your face?
4:10 why didn't that last egg hatch ?
It's amazing that the babies are born knowing what to do to grantee their survival. Their even born w little hooks on their wings to push the rest of the nest out
There's Someone who give them knowledge to survive, all other creatures have that too except humans.
@@teena786 humans have this knowledge given too, but they dont listen. they are too brain guided that they think they are better than the voice of god in the heart...
the baby cuckoo is bigger than the parent bird. The baby cucko could also eat the parent bird that is feeding it. I wonder if the baby cuckoo matures, does it treats the bird that 's feeding it as parent?
"I really want to punch that bird" was not a sentence I expected to type today.
I would place all cuckoo eggs in one nest.....
Good video. Btw, what's the track called that starts playing @5:34?
That is a huge bird bigger than the parent!
How comes the baby is bigger than mommy????🤔🤔🤔
Killer instinct from the very 1st minute of life.
What will it happen if two cuckoo eggs in the nest?
Excellent capture.
And they said there is no God who told that chick to do soo
I love this sound really coockuuu
Any good sides over it in terms of nature balance?
@@dam4274 noop, she didn't sit there watching, rather, she gave a hand (leg in this case) 3:22

@@ちゃチャッキー ah ok 👍🏻. Thanks. Where in Japan are you from?
That's a bird I wouldn't feel bad stepping on
It’s so crazy that it just knows what to do, fresh outta the egg. The cuckoo prolly keeps the balance. Maybe preventing the overpopulation of certain bird species.
Hey! Do you know common cuckoo is a bird that coos at night and day
This is the mother of the year.
Unusual how the nest is so low and open to possible attack. It's also very close to where people are.
Have you never had a bird nest in your yard? I get house finches on my porch about two feet from the door. Birds aren’t scared of humans unless you’re actively trying to chase them or grab them.
No matter how safely its been, a single cuckoo egg is enough..
How does this species survive if it only rears another's offspring?
That bird is "the good son"
Haha I saw that movie! 😂 When the son pushed his cousin off the cliff. But again, mom saved the nephew! Let her son fall
Reminds me of the movie "Me myself and Irene". 🤔You might want a DNA test! 😂🤣
Cuckoo is beautiful bird!! I like!!
Youre so metal

C`est la vie ! ))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))
I thought this was going to be a video about humans finally helping the other eggs survive.
i was thinking the same! really thought the bloke was going to the nest to yeet out the cuckoo =O
Cuckoos are an endangered species and are protected by law, as such it’s illegal to trap, kill, disturb or injure any native wildlife
@@theotheseaeagle That Cuckoo is not native to that nest. It doesn't belong in that nest.
Really it's very nice video.....
This bird has no responsibility😂
i find this bird facinating so fucking vexing at the same time
I recall a website or video somewhere on the internet that sometimes the cuckoo picks a nest where the egg doesn't get pushed out but the chicks are as big as cuckoo chicks and hatch at the same time so if the cuckoo happens to lay an egg in the species of bird that lays in that nest, it's just an extra mouth to feed, and is no big deal to the parents of that species. They might also make nests that the cuckoo can't push the eggs out of, so what happens is that mom notices an extra mouth to feed and is extra busy feeding it.
And to add to your comment the coo coo chick gets so much bigger than the others and need alot more to feed it
Punctuation :P
@@danielking1921 they also are evolved to hatch faster and the eggs themselves are nearly identical but larger. The parents will already favor the chick from the larger egg and obviously the one that hatches first gets the most good because it has been alive longer.
@@dharmallars i thought they monitor the host to time the mating/fertilization schedule for their egg to hatch earlier.

wow, what a beautiful nature movie I ever see. great filming.
Gives a whole new meaning to the term "born killers" my God,this bird is pure evil
Do you eat meat? Because o guess your also evil because you eat meat that was once another animal. Hypocrite
We all eat animals or plants, living things to grow. In a way, we absorb living beings karmic souls to live and grow strong. To truly respect nature, you should create something beautiful with the "essence" you consumed. Rather then simply consuming like some mythological monster.

Amazing how these chicks are preprogrammed to do this. Amazing!
Is amazing and sad at the same time for me
@@tonycruz6183 We human's are preprogrammed to do a lot of stuff too. When you are tying text on your keyboard once you got used to it. Then it becomes habit, or instinct. You no longer think how to do the feat, you just do it. That's why people who are not used to keyboards type so slow. Their not used to keyboards so they have to "think" what to type. Which is really slow.
Think how you are breathing, now think how you are blinking your eyes. Then think how your arms feel, how your legs feel, how your head feel, how your tongue feel. All of that is instinctual. You can hardly focus on more then 2 of those at once.
I dont understand. The all eggs seems similar. Can tell me somebody than why could happen so way?
Its impossible to tell. You can place any egg under almost any bird and shes gonna lay on them. My dad used to place duck and chicken eggs under a turkey and she would sit on the eggs untill they hatch

what reason a baby bird push the 4 eggs OUT of the nest...
what are 3 eggs to do off the nest...
3 crashs on the floor...
farmer man should put a soft pillow on the floor and 3 eggs would not crashs it
bestamerica
We don’t really know why cuckoos push out their hosts eggs.
