Good countdown, there's even more worst things Brian as a character done. In Pal Stewie When Stewie befriends another child, Brian acted all petty and overly conceited because Stewie was hanging with someone his own age and had attempted to persuade him to cut off the relationship, even as far to hide an invitation addressed to him for the child's party and when Stewie found out about his exclusion, he went on a rampage to assult his new friend only for Brian to pull back and state that it was all his fault and Stewie claimed that Brian wasn't his friend....he's family (with the cheap sentimental garbage music throughout) and departed with no resolution.......which is stupid since Brian had zero problems in the past with Stewie 's playdates & other friends, I wonder why.....oh yeah, it's because of the obvious since Brian had horrid projections of things involving race that becomes very repeative.

Alcoholism is NOT a disease, it's a very serious condition that does need treat, support, and help. But saying it's a disease takes away the responsibility of the condition on the one suffering under it. Part of getting out of it is understanding the cause and person responsible which is always the addict themselves.
It is a neurological disorder involving dopamine receptors. That truth does not mean that the addict is not responsible for their actions. But people who are problem drinkers can easily substitute a different addiction, be it exercise, overeating, or even shopping.
The south park episode on Alcoholism and AA hits on a lot of the problems I have with AA. While it can really help people, I do agree with Brian that a lot of them just substitute drinking with AA and that's also not healthy. And the faith-based aspect of the 12 step program often turns people off when they need the help that AA can bring in at the start or can open the door to some of the people running these groups to not offer serious help to people like me who don't believe in a higher power. I know some groups have started to phase stuff out like the 12 step program because the language in it does cause issues as it can be interpreted by some that they don't have any power in being able to help themselves or that the burden of responsibility is not on them. One big complaint about AA from even Christian groups is that nothing in the 12 steps actually talks about real ways to deal with the problem outside of going to meetings

With the complete destruction of his character in the revival and dark era, it's pretty fitting that he's essentially the new punching bag in the newer seasons.
I truly miss the old Brain, honestly a part of me wishes the real Brain is still in Hollywood filming s*** and the one we see is an imposter that took his place. Unfortunately this is what he became.
I love how the episode the bird, reich basically explained that the reason Brian wants his ego to stroked is because he’s a dog human approval is all he lives for he even says, being called a good boy, is the best thing you can say to him
So when it comes to dogs and heat, only the girls go into heat, but when a boy dog smells it he becomes like entranced and will absolutely lose their mind. So tbh being mad at him about Seabreeze wasn't fair at all. Carter should take responsibility for not getting her fixed.
A lot of people who bring up "x character does worse stuff" seem to forget the main issue people take with Brian. It's not that he's the worst person, it's that he's one of the worst that also thinks they're the best. Everyone else knows they're awful and as a viewer, we can appreciate the honesty and enjoy a well made antagonist/bad person.
It's ashame, because Brian was the best character in the early seasons. (Which I consider season 1 -6). You could see that Seth basically made Brian the animated version of himself (which is why he's the only character he doesn't change his voice for). He's just became so arrogant and up himself. Quagmire said it best in that iconic rant he had
Brian dating human women should've been an honorable mention because of our laws against relationships with non-human beings (animals, aliens, monsters, robots).
Underrated moment: destroying Rupert while drunk and then blaming Stewie for daring to get mad at him over it. Hating a baby for ruining a beloved toy of his while he was drunk. What the frick.
Since the fans won't let Brian be killed off, the writers, perhaps with the blessings of Seth, now have 'killed his character'. The once thought of 'voice of reason' has transformed into 'Quagmire'.
We cannot forget that brian has obviously been creeping on women most of the times, especially hitting on lois. He says peter repays her with selfishness and neglected. But brian is the one who does almost the opposite.. and 4:22 when he says stuff like this, that doesn't make any sense
Question. In the earlier seasons, didn't Lois say Brian was at least fifty (in dog years)? I cant remember the exact episode title but it involved Peter and his friends acting like the show Jack*ss. If that's the case then the age gap between him and Reta wasn't that bad. Brian could've honestly been happyily married and away from Peter's antics if it weren't for the writers making Reta seem older than what she was towards the end of the episode
I really gotta say, the 'alchoholic' discussion is coming to a head, the psycho analyzing of 'this character is or isnt an alchoholic despite the shows clear statement they are' is getting very annoying. The analysis and mis-defining of what it means to be an alchoholic is getting kind of old, and brians both binge drinking + constantly sipping booze at various unremarkable points (he has that iconic flask after all), it shows he has alchoholic tendencies / borderline alchoholism. And thats just with this specific media, not other shows you cover. Between this and some of the community posts lately, as someone whos struggled with it myself, annoyed and may not continue watching with recent events. This is just getting to be quite a bit much dismissal and excusing of alchoholism in media, with characters who specifically have alchoholic tendencies. Just hope this doesnt continue, it may just be media, but viewers take your analysis more seriously.
I was going to comment something similar but not necessarily about the cc and her sort of brushing it off... She's allowed her opinions on the subject... However I am also genuinely disgusted with the way alcoholism and addiction are portrayed on certain shows and the media in general. For example the South Park episode about Randy having to go to AA (when I don't actually think his character is an alcoholic while I completely agree with you that Brian is much more likey to be one) and how they characterized AA as a cult and kept doubling down that alcoholism isn't a disease. Well according to scientific research and medical professionals it absolutely IS and to continue to downplay the significance is offensive and borderline dangerous. I'm a recovering alcoholic and addict with 9ys sober... After 25+ of using and I lost my younger brother and father to alcoholism! Not drunk driving or anything... alcohol itself literally caused them to die... My dad at 53 and my brother at 39. This is a very real disease and a very real issue and people really must take it seriously. Thanks for your comment... It gave me the courage to share mine and I appreciate someone else out there who feels as strongly as I do. ❤❤❤
@@pettykittyfam the media's blatant dismissal of alchoholism is definetly a problem, and agreed there. as a CC myself I try not to fault individual creators, but on watching this Live it stood out amongst prior posts. I am definetly annoyed with Kitty's way of adressing these issue, as its continous dismissal of clearly stated issues, but it adds up to be a problem over time. Justifying alchoholics as 'not alchoholics but people who drink a bit too much' repeatedly, plus the alchohol based community posts, IS an issue that cant just be written off, imo. She doesnt need like an apology or adress, but I just hope she actually reads and may consider changing her approach on Substance abuse.

Not to mention how some of the horrible stuff Brian does isn't even acknowledged as bad by the show..
@@AmberStallion this is sn example of Jerks are worse than villains
What Brian did with Stewie and the afterlife hits too personal for me. The amount of medication I'm on, the amount of severe panic attacks I've had for days on end, all because of my father trying to be the smart one when I was around 5. No matter what good evidence I hear now I struggle to take it in because he would never let me believe and took every chance possible to complain about people who did.
When I watched that episode I really realised why I hate Brian.
I am so sorry that you ever had to go through any of that. I know sometimes it’s easier said than done, but always remember that your opinions matter.
I can see why Seth McFarland has practically abandoned this show
Not enough since he still continues to voice in it instead of leaving it altogether.
@marshallw1902 can you blame him, if you were on that family guy dole too you wouldn't complain lol
I always saw Brain’s death in Life of Brian as Seth’s spiritual departure from FG.
I miss the old Brian who used to be the sarcastic and lovable voice of reason character.
It's Brian's dates that are the creepy ones for having relationships with a dog. Also, considered the kind of guy Quagmire is, he deserved it
Not to mention Brian is a pedo
No blind person is that unaware, believe you me, there is no way someone could tell me that I was in Paris if I'm still in the United States, there's also no way that I wouldn't be able to realize that I was dealing with an animal, and not a human being, Just slightly annoyed, blindness is not synonymous with stupidity or ignorance, and yes, if it's not glaringly obvious, I am an actual blind person.
hey I have some casual questions about blindness if you don’t mind! Id love to hear some of your experiences
we’re you born with it or did it occur later in life? if it occurred later how did it effect you and what new skills did you get (if any) because of you becoming blind
are you partially or fully blind? if partially are there any visual based tasks you can do without aid?
was there ever a time someone didn’t realize you were blind off the bat and tried to show you something etc?
@@beeb2761I am not blind, though was impaired before surgery, I can say one thing. Most blind people are not fully blind just like most colorblind people don’t see in greyscale. Those extremes are fairly uncommon in nature.
I agree with the place thing but how you can hear the difference between human talking and dog talking?
Brian does exclusively pursue dumb women, so she was probably already not that bright unrelated to the blindness
(edit: Oh by this escalated, this wasn't me saying Brian is worst than Cartman overall. I mean summoning Cthulhu because your friends won't play with you isn't going to be able to be topped. The point is, in this situation I mentioned, Brian was more of a scumbag as a character. Cartman is worse as a person)
Something I just realized is
Brian is worse than *Cartman*
Cartman (as obviously wrong as he is) had a reason to infect Kyle with AIDS, in order to teach him a lesson, knew there was a cure, and in the end he did cure Kyle (even if it was to just protect his stuff from Kyles rage). Even in the end, Cartman still gets punished by Kyle breaking his Xbox (implied).
Brian not only infected Stewie for no reason other than "I was embarrassed", but Stewie has to suffer with this for the rest of his life, and Brian gives a half assed apology and a slap on the wrist.
AIDS is worse than herpes
*are
It isn’t like Kyle murdered his family he simply laughed at him having aids where he deserved to be grounded not given a fatal disease. Sure Brian gave him herpes but cartman gave kyle hiv and this guy is acting like herpes are eternal torture when it just comes up when you’re stressed even the show said it. Cartman only cured it for the benefit of himself.
I get what you mean but, Carmen ounce destroyed all of humanity and teamed up with kathulo. Brian's bad but no one's gonna top Cartman in that category.
@@danielperez143 Cartman is a love to hate character, Brian has become a character you hate. Basically Brian and Cartman are a meta example of Jerks are worse than Villains
Quagmire knocking Brain's teeth out < Leshawna knocking Heather's tooth out

It’s sad that the straight man of the family that was ironically the dog ended up being even worse than them solely because he is a smart character that purposely does a bunch of awful things. They even made an episode about him being a terrible father. Part of me wonders what would the show be like if they were brave enough to actually kill his character instead of just doing it to gain more attention considering a little time passed before he came back basically and giving liters no chance for Vinny to be a new main character.
i thought they brought brian back and let vinny go because of fan outcry? pr makes just as much sense though.
@@ceresleepy1837 I don’t think they can make episodes that fast like South Park. Plus fan out cry is clearly the only reason they did it in the first place when you consider that they are just removing one of Seth McFarland’s roles while he continues to voice 3 other characters so there is no real world excuse for it nor is there any in universe reason for built up for it too happen. A ratings boost is honestly the only plausible reason if you think about it.

Not as surprising as it sounds, lol. It's a small world, ain't it?
@foreverdreamwithinadream6871what I was thinking
@foreverdreamwithinadream6871 "You don't have to agree on everything" if for trivial shit like 'what's your favorite movie?', not 'should gay people die or not?'. Beliefs, especially political beliefs, depend on morals. Rush Limbaugh was a raging racist, homophobe, and rape apologist. Dennis Prager is a weird man that makes UA-cam videos for kids about how slavery "wasn't that bad" and other conservative shit. Both are terrible people and anyone who's friends with them are also bad people because if they had a problem with the way they think, they wouldn't associate with them.
Matt and Trey were close to the antichrist?
Mind blown!
@foreverdreamwithinadream6871 Yeah, Not even close today.it was worse decades ago not now.
When we were arguing over human rights not so long ago, there were definitely non negotiabilities in family and friendships.
I'll be honest, one of the worst things Brian has ever done in my opinion is after Meg finally stands up for herself and tell off her family for abusing her all of her life, when she feels bad because the family was imploding on themselves Brian tells Meg she's 'a hero' for being willing to be an abuse victim for them. I'd like to say that he was still tripping on acid when he said that, but knowing how awful Brian can be, he may have been completely earnest.

Alcoholism is NOT a disease, it's a very serious condition that does need treat, support, and help.
But saying it's a disease takes away the responsibility of the condition on the one suffering under it.
Part of getting out of it is understanding the cause and person responsible which is always the addict themselves.
addiction is classified as a disease by most medical associations.
You will never suffer such a “disease” if you never touch alcohol to begin with.
YES!!! Disorder, not disease! You can't "catch" alcoholism like it's a cold.
We were sad for Brian dying why??
Because he used to be a great character
I never was. I was more disappointed when they brought him back.

Jason Goes To Hell: The Final Friday was originally so bad, the script had to be rewritten in 4 days.
