George Clooney's Op Ed and large donors withholding funding were part of that. It was Biden's right to continue to stay and fight the election--it was up to him. But he had to face that it was in the best interests of the country that he not risk losing to Trump, given Trump's stated vengeful dictatorship and the Project 2025 planned overthrow of democracy. That's politics. That's democracy in action. That is noteworthy, because so few global leaders do so.
