      Are you Reinhardt's kid? Wolfgang was amazing on this and also Gabor Szabo's Rambler. My Bass teacher met him in LA in the 70s and came back to Texas singing his praises. I'd actually seen him in 1973 playing with The Association. It's a small world!

    Nicky Hopkins: the best thing on this album. They were extremely lucky to get him.

    I bought this album on 8-track at the drug store where I worked at the soda fountain ( 16 years old then ) ...I could put on my head phones and listen to this for hours.

    that's Nicky Hopkins on Home to You. Johnny Almond's sax solo made it impossible for me to listen to other sax players. what great players and nice guys!

    Saw them the spring of '73. They were the lead act for It's A Beautiful Day. I'd gone wanting to see both bands but left realizing, really, there was no comparison WRT musicianship.Dannie Richmond and Johnny Almond were both astounding.

    It's so sad so many people have not heard of Marc almond and if some of the nicest music you could ever hear. Just nicest either sometimes they get down with it I hate to brag or gloat but I did get to see them they've been inside me ever since. Time for the world to wake up and start listening to bark all the devil's I'm doing you a favor of a lifetime

      I'm sorry I apologize the last paragraph did not come out right I speak through a microphone and I swear it has a mind of its own I would never use those words on a bed that I have so much respect for a band that I have so much respect for I wish I could turn the world on to this band it's done so much for my soul I apologize for that last paragraph on why other I hope someone reads this message so they don't leave off on that other one because it's rather ugly I can't even explain why the phone would use those words it must have misunderstood me but my goodness is it off I would never speak that way to these wonderful musicians and especially to my friends Marc almond I'll never forget this little club I seen them in well up north in Wisconsin it was a small club and I'll never remember sing like a school bus and where it usually has the route lit up instead the lights on top the bus read brightly Marc almond I was twenty-five years old I'm 67 years old now. A song like riding free something's wrong with you if that don't get you moving. And then there's other songs that if you don't drop a tier something's wrong with you so my advice is have some fun and Rock and don't be afraid to shed a tear in other words they're just a great human band. Telling it like it is with some of the most unique can say about them enough music. And hey if she shedding a tear you have a problem with it you need to listen to them even more. Don't try to play tough guy everyone drops a chair once in awhile I can actually say I love Marc almond. Thank you guys. Your music will live forever. It's just that good. Oh and one more thing if you don't think so you have musical issues I hate to say it either that or you're an idiot

    • @darylbehling8292
      @darylbehling8292 Рік тому

      I'm sorry I said at the last of my text it to you all at the end of my texts I did not say the right thing I said if you don't appreciate it I don't need that probably not an idiot all just musically illiterate not a little bit as a person just musically challenged lol hey that was kind of funny

    • @darylbehling8292
      @darylbehling8292 Рік тому

      Sorry that last paragraph that was spoken it was spoken out of line I talk through a microphone the couple of words that popped up did that should not have so I apologize if it sounded kind of funky I don't have it right here in front of me but it sounded like I said something about a barking dog and a wolf or something God knows I never said that I spoke through a microphone and it heard what the bike mic flatout did not get my words right I didn't mean to offend anybody except the part where I did say you're probably a good person add you'r not illiterate if you don't like to listen to Marc almond it just means you're illiterate when it comes to music. Hey you deserve the jab. Because quite frankly and if anyone knows what they're talking about it's me you just have musical issues that's all I've got problems to let music's not one of them so. The world needs to start listening if they haven't alread and if you don't like what you hear throw away your radio or stereo. Because your way to musically challenged lol what the heck I thought it was funny yet true. Love you all. It's nice to know there are people that appreciate mark-almond it makes me happy

      Hey Duff - thanks for listing all the band members’ names. Brought back really good memories! And the songs: watching them practice them over and over, and the concerts were mind-blowing for small town Encinitas (back then known primarily as a surf town.) Not to quibble, but the venue was/is the LA PALOMA, built in 1928 and still showing films. The Mark-Almond band was a concert of a lifetime for those of us who worked there and loved the band during the months they spent here. This is the first time I’ve heard the music in at least 30 years, but I remember every note and and lyric like it was yesterday. So good!

    if you happen to be a red-blooded human being....and you DON'T choke up, or shed a tear, after listening to this great Album's Closing Track, "Home To You", then you are NOT a true Human Being, and must be either a robot, or a Cold-Blooded Unfeeling/Uncaring BASTARD......
    just my (sniff) 2 cents....

    Ah! Tiens par contre je préfère cet album à celui de Jade Warrior . Mais je crois que ce sont les circonstances dans lesquelles j'écoute les disques en ce moment précis. Plus rythmé. C'était le premier morceau ...le 3ème aussi est bien articulé autour des percussions (terrible) excellent, C'est vraiment très bon. Ici pas de doute. Je dois réécouter Jade Warrior le soir, au calme.

    I prefer this (on this first hearing) to MA 1, but it's still all rather downbeat - especially when compared with 'To the Heart'. I have quite enough to cause me to get depressed, without music.
