- We traveled to the Amsterdam Foodhallen (food hall) on a rainy Sunday afternoon to try some of the different cuisines they have to offer. If you are visiting and looking for a great place to hang out, try different international and Dutch foods, this is the place!
We decided to try some foods we miss as American expats here in the Netherlands and some amazing desserts. You could literally eat here all month and never have the same thing. So many choices!
Spoiler alert: Meat and cheese plate! Pulled pork sandwich! Tacos Al Pastor!
✼ Would be cool to see you over here ✼

ABOUT US
We are Nate and Katrina, two American expats living in Amsterdam, The Netherlands and traveling as much as we can to see what there is to see! We balance a busy career and grad school while we explore Europe and beyond. We would love to visit every country in Europe while we live here, and definitely keep a list of our global “must visit” destinations.
We probably won’t look or sound like many other travel vlogs out there. We really want to give you a true view of us and how we travel and explore the world. Lots of food, definitely some jokes, and probably some swearing…. Hope you enjoy taking these trips with us!

We will totally go back for Part 2 someday! So much good still to try. Maybe we will bring some friends next time!
It means a lot when you like and subscribe, so thanks in advance!
N&K
if you want American bbq go to pendergast in Amsterdam!
and Bacalar for the best mexican food.
We went for Nate’s birthday a few years ago… it was really great!
Don’t know Bacalar…. Will check it out! Thanks for watching!
Just went there a few days ago. We went at the wrong time. It was about 6PM and it was PACKED. No seating. We had to go out in the breezeway and eat on top of one of the planters. So it kinda worked out. But everything is way overpriced. We got the beef rice paper rolls and the spring rolls from the Vietnamese place. We didn't even bother with Mexican. The tacos were about 2 for $10. That's just ridiculous.
It does get very busy. If you think that’s a lot for tacos, definitely avoid the train station food hall in Rotterdam. €9 for 1 street taco. 😳
We totally missed this when we visited - have to go when we come back!!
It’s pretty great! They have a “film” hall right next door…
Surinam food is pretty spicy.
Love it!
If you’re missing good Mexican, try Bacalar just up from the Eye Museum.
We will have to add that to our list!
So I must have been too tired from my day trip to The Hague. Or maybe I’m too old. Ha! I tried it last night but it was packed and a bit of a scene which I wasn’t in the mood for. I didn’t stick around but I saw some good options.
Yep, I get that… It’s tough when it’s crowded… we always go for lunch….
Nate is way too negative to do food blogs. What does he like??
Awww man, I thought I liked some of that. :-)
Dessert was good. Wait until you see me eat fruit cocktail with alpacas!
